Battle rages...normal time flow

The sleep spell worked. Slowly Chaos started to slumber and transform back to human. Then Shanya's attack ripped the transforming demon's chest and a human body fell to the ground. He was breathing heavily for a few seconds until he died a peaceful expression in his face.

Lance:"Goodbye brother. Rest in peace."

He turned around and started walking towards the ancient ruins.

"Ooooh...why did Karnak have to go to Alexandria?! We really could have used another Red Mage here!" Irritated, she failed to notice the glow around her body... "I mean, really, what's the use of being able to beat up a Grand Dragon if I can't even reach the meany up there?! OOOOHH...I FEEL LIKE I'M GONNA EXPLODE!" Then, it happened. Her hair turned gold, her eyes white, and her weaponry got even sharper. "WHY'D I COME HERE ANYWAY??!" Her entire body was glowing with the power of Trance, and she didn't even notice! Wiping blood from his lips he struckled back up and looked at the glowing Shanya still keeping eye on Chaos. Lance:"Shanya! Attack now. Zen, I know Chaos's weakness. One weakness that comes with the body. Both me and my brother seeked refuge from sleep. Chaos is vulnerable to sleep." Lance started casting sleep on Chaos and it really seemed to work. He was transforming to Lance's brother again but then Chaos managed to resist the spell and transformed back. Now if one would attack Chaos while it's transforming it can't defend itself. On the eastern side of the gate was a strange horsefigured symbol which was dim but on the western side of the gate a a monster with long claws -symbol was emitting a pale red light. It didn't take a genious to figure out that the gate was sealed and the strange symbols were locks. Lance:"I think that the horse here is Nightmare." Zen:"And since we killed it the lock opened." Lance:"Right! But we still have to find and slay the other monster before we can go trough this gate." They start heading back to the town and notice a strange thing. It's not nearly a morning but there are no living dead on the streets. Normally it would be a good thing but what is normal in Oilvert?... Living dead walking in the street. Something was wrong now. (OOC: The other guardian is a Chaos Wels. Massacre knows these thing better than I do so if he wants to descripe what it looks like. I thought something like Wels Reaper. Then, from the darkness, a new thing came. It was hovering...rotating...full of claws... It was a Wels demon of some sort. Its body was like a fleshy cornucopia with long clawed hands spinning around it. The head/interior of the cornucopia was all mutated flash and bones with a Reaper face that had bigger, badder fangs than normal.) Zen: Holy moley! "Holy moley!" I am the thing the Darkness fears.

If this was as hard to kill as Nightmare things wouldn't be too good. Lance took the fixed crossbow he had found and shot the monster to the rotating part. Unfortunately the creature just absorbed the arrow and soon a metal spike (the head of the arrow) appeared on the creature's leg. This time Lance stared at the monster eyes wide open.
