Tetra Disaster! OOC: Why this name? You'll know in time... (Sorry Lazria, but it looks like there will be SOME spoilage. Try to forget any relevant info. before you play FFIX again!) IC> (On the world of Gaia, there are four continents. They are the Mist Continent, Outer Continent, Forgotten Continent, and the Lost Continent. The Mist continent no longer has mist in it, but still monsters. On this world, and in its continents, something is happening. The life upon Gaia is going through a change like no other, one that is hard to explain...just yet. However, there is hope. As long as there are heroes, there is a chance that things may turn out alright. And it doesn't matter where they come from.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ (In the forest, the Black Mage Forest that is, the wind was picking up to a ferocious strength. Something was happening. A small whirlwind was formed, one that began condensing energy. Then, all at once, it exploded with a flash! And as the wind dies done, a youth could be seen. He looks about fifteen years old and carries a sword not seen on this world before. After shaking off his disorientation, he starts looking around.) Now, where did I leave it...AH! (He was looking for a saddlebag filled with some magical equipment. [The bag contained a Caster gun and plenty of shells.] It was lying next to a tree, half opened. He ran over to it, but stopped. Something he hadn't noticed before was sitting by it.) Jason, Jason, Jason... How did you find ONE Behemoth out of the whole world?! Sometimes, I just can't believe my luck... (Jason draws his sword, a Force Stealer, and slashes at the mighty beast. It reels back in pain and does something he never expected. The monster Trances! Right before Jason's eyes, the creature became a King Behemoth! After that stunning transformation, the beast attacked, knocking him to the ground. Jason had only a brief glimpse of what happened next. The King Behemoth accidentally stepped on the saddlebag. As soon as it was smashed, a massive explosion of magical energy was released, blowing Jason across the clearing and killing the Behemoth. Jason was out-cold and harshly wounded besides. [Still much better off than the beast.] After a while, another thing that did not belong to this world showed up. A Deathclaw. The bladed creature had been waiting for an opportunity and now it had one. It jumped down onto the Behemoth's carcass and thrusted its six blades into it, rending the flesh of its feast. It was even cooked to perfection! Later on, Jason was still out, but he could've sworn he heard something. Footsteps...and talking. After that, he could've sworn he was being dragged away somewhere. But even if he was conscious, he wouldn't have the strength to resist anyway. The Deathclaw silently stoll into the night, waited until it was sure that no one was watching, and then changed into a man wearing gray-black armor.) Man: 'Twas a good meal, but I wonder who the human was... And...I wonder if his arrival is a coincidence... He had magical devices, but what power does HE have? Yes! Before I am through with this world, I will know the power hidden within every last being! (Who is this guy? What's he up to? Where did Jason get dragged off to? Find out as...the plot continues!) |

Dragons are a real pain in the...!
*At the Iifa Tree, a woman is going hunting. Hunting for a renegade that is. She has been hired by a crime lord to hunt down one of his 'deserters' and bring him back alive. So far, he had managed to evade her and he was now cowering in a corner near the Iifa Tree, his small dagger shaking in his hand*
Danielle: Give up quietly and you won't be hurt. Renegade: NO!! *He does the stupid thing and attacks Danielle, who simply steps to the side and grabs the man as he flies past. She takes the dagger from his hands and tosses it aside* Danielle: Why do people give me so much trouble? *She hits the man over the head with the butt end of her sword, knocking him out. Sighing, she starts to head back to the Mist Continent...when a large Zombie Dragon jumps in front of her* Danielle: I don't have time for this!!!! *She drops the still unconscious man and raises her long sword, holding it with the blade facing outward* Danielle: Come and get me, you over-grown undead lizard! *The dragon roars and lunges at Danielle, who steps aside and slices at it with her sword, taking a chunk of its wing off. The dragon retaliates by using Zombie Breath on Danielle, who dodges out of the way and stares at the dragon with an annoyed expression on her face* Danielle: Why am I wasting my time? Here, have a Phoenix Down. *She tosses a Phoenix Down at the undead dragon, destroying it instantly [saying that she killed it would be wrong, it's undead!]. She then sighs, puts her sword on her back and picks up the man and continues toward the chocobo tracks, where she calls a Golden Chocobo named Gullia and starts her ride toward the Mist Continent* OOC: That's the introduction of my character. |

Tempest... You aren't saying that... OOC: ...the guys that got K.O.ed is none other than Zidane, are you? I mean, he's not like that. (AND he's a very powerful person besides.) Baku would never hire out a bounty hunter on him. He liked that guy! Say it ain't so, Tempest! IC> (Anyway, he woke inside some kind of hut. From the outside, it looked like the head of a Black Mage, complete with a hat-roof. Jason couldn't see that right now, though. He had no idea where he was. He winced as he sat up. Apparently, the explosion of his Caster shells, the only advanced technology to hit this world, hurt him a great deal. Alot of his chest was bandaged and he had a splitting headache. He looked around for the rest of his stuff and found it in a basket nearby. Before he could even reach for it...) Voice: Ah! You're awake! (A Black Mage walked into the room, acting as some kind of doctor. He called himself No. 128.) No. 128: You were severely injured when we found you in the forest. Unbelievable that you could survive such an explosion. The Behemoth was torn to pieces! Jason: You mean...King Behemoth, right? No. 128: Hmmm....nope. I'm afraid I've never heard of that one. Sounds nasty, though. Anyway, I'm even more surprised that you're awake already. It's only been two days! (That made sense. With the kind of injuries he'd sustained, Jason should've been out for an entire week, no matter how much magic they used on him. But they didn't know him very well. Jason was tough, just like his dad. And to prove it, he tried standing up. It actually worked. He didn't stumble, just limped. He wasn't ready for combat just yet. The Black Mage protested his insistence to move around. He explored a bit, noticing that this wasn't just a village of Black Mages. The Genomes were around, doing there thing and helping out with village jobs and such. Jason eventually found himself in an item shop.) Jason: I may need this stuff later, but I don't have any money. (That went up with his Caster shells.) Voice: You really shouldn't be walking around just yet. Those wounds of yours still aren't healed. Jason: That's not a Black Mage... Who are you? Mikoto: My name is Mikoto. No. 128 told me that you weren't healthy enough to be out hete yet, even though you seem to heal fast. Jason: I take after my dad in that. Hoe come you guys are being so hospitalble about all this? Mikoto: It's a dangerous world out there, especially now. Strange things have been happening. The village has even been attacked a few times. Jason: I see... (Jason gives up and returns to the hotel, where he'd woken up. He wonders what all of this means...) |

He's a big man with one eye and a scarred face* Jones: Did you get him? Danielle: Of course I got him! *Tosses the prisoner on the floor* Jones: Ahh...Gary! How nice of you to rejoin us!! Gary: Go. To. Hell!! Jones: That's not nice! Take him away! *Two thugs come and drag Gary away. Jones turns to Danielle* Jones: Here's your payment...heheh... GET HER!! *Danielle is suddenly surrounded by large men with clubs. She just smirks* Danielle: You can't be THIS stupid, can you? Jones: GET HER!! *The charge...and end up running into each other. Danielle jumped out of the ring! She turns to Jones, who's taken a step back. He knows better than to get THIS woman angry...* Danielle: I take it this means our contract is terminated? Fine. I'll be seeing you...Oh, and here's a gift... MUSTARD BOMB!! Now, if you move, you die. Bye now!! *She exits, leaving behind a rather angry gangster...* |

I hate that spell. OOC: Fortunately, Boss Characters never fall for that one. IC> Damn that cursed Emperor! He double-crossed me! (Somewhere on the Outer Continent, a mysterious individual cursed silently as he examined an artifact he possessed. He'd gotten it from a dark emperor of a kingdom that no longer existed. The artifact had one ability, and it was unusable right now.) If he were still alive, I'd smash his brain! (A cactuar tried to bother him, but he kicked it away. Then he decided that there was only one thing to do.) I'll just do what it takes. What's a few lives between friends, anyway? |

Need a mercenary? *Danielle is on her way to Alexandria to see if anybody needs a mercenary. On her way through a forest, she runs into a Malboro* Huh?? I thought that these things died with the mist?? *She sighs and takes draws her sword. The over-grown plant attacks her, and manages to hit her with one of its many tentacles. She grumbles something about having to disinfect herself later...and stabs the thing in the mouth. Doing the stupid thing and assuming that it's dead, she starts to walk...only to be bitten on the shoulder by a now-angered Malboro* Ohh..so you want to play it THAT way, do you!?!? *She glances at the blood on her shoulder, glares at the Malboro...and slices it to shreds in a matter of seconds* [/i]That auto-haste really helps![/i] *She continues onto Alexandria...* |

Small Problems... OOC: Gilnor, something screwy happened and your initial post got deleted in the wake of it. Sorry about that. (Exan can see something heading for the town. They look like Golems, but they're only a couple feet tall! They don't belong on this world either. They're Ice Golems. Exan doesn't realize it, but somehow, someone is transporting monsters from other worlds to this one. There must be a few dozen of them coming this way.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Danielle might be able to see the horde of Ice Golems, but she has her own problems. A trio of uncooth Thugs with knives. [A la Persona.] They look human and don't seem to be very powerful, but you never know...) Thug: What's your hurry? We would've waited longer if money was involved. And believe me, money WILL be involved! So hand it over. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Meanwhile, the village of the Black Mages has its own problems.) Black Mage: Zombies!! (An army of darkness has descended upon the land. Grotesque zombies in search of brains are entering the village!) Black Mage 42: I have the answer! Use Cure magic! Black Mage 18: What are you thinking, 42? We're Black Mages! We don't cure people! Black Mage 42: Oh, right... Then use fire! Black Mage 19: We'll burn down the village! Black Mage 42: Fine... In that case, knock their heads off with whatever's handy! (They just happen to have their staffs out. So they brain 'em! But something goes wrong. The Zombies won't stay down!) Black Mage 42: They don't look too dead to me, really. I thought Zombies had this dead look in their eyes. These guys look kinda' crazy. (They aren't really Zombies. They're much worse! In reality, these 'Zombies' are actually the creatures known as Wels. [A la Xenogears.] They're crazed, canabalistic monsters that live on blood to ease the pain of their mutated existence. Because of their inherant strength, the Genomes also fight them. Even then, it's crazy out here! Mikoto is guarding, of all things, the Chocobo nest. Any of them that come nearby get a vicious double slash from her daggers. But then, a big one comes by. It's big enough that the knives don't mean much to its rapidly mutating skin. Fortunately, before it can do anything, someone interrupts its attack. A sword goes through its back and shocks it to death with magical energy. Jason was standing behind it. He's nearly healed now and able to help the combat effort.) Jason: Is this the kind of attack you meant? Mikoto: Yes...and no. Jason: Huh? Mikoto: We have been attacked before, but never by creatures like these. They aren't from this world. Nothing like that could possibly live on Gaia. They're too sensitive to magic. Jason: Where could they have come from? Mikoto: I don't know. Jason This could be why dad sent me here. Mutants like this come from worlds with technology and this place just doesn't have it. "We could kill anyone once." |

What? MORE interuptions? *Danielle sighs and glares at the thugs, her hand hovering over the handle of her sword dangerously* Thug #1: I wouldn't try that, toots. Danielle: *HATES being called sexist names like 'toots' or 'babe* WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!? Thug #2: Heh, I think that the little lady's gonna try and fight. Danielle: *Is starting to lose her temper. When the third thug comes near enough to her to grab her purse, she just goes ballistic! She grabs her sword, impales the one thug, punches another one and decapitates the third one, leaving only her and two thugs* Don't come near me!!! |

Ouch *Danielle dodges the knives and ducks for cover. She's really angry now...and goes into Trance! Her entire body lets off a bright light, and when it vanishes, she is covered with Genji Armour!!* Danielle: Time to get rid of this wacko. *Danielle leaps out of her cover and slams her sword into the ground* QUAKING BLADE!! *She causes a rift in the ground that swallows the remaining thugs and goes out of her Trance* Danielle: Don't attack me. Footsteps in the dark,

Ice Golems Exan looked at the Ice Golems walking towards him. "I must warn the citizens" was his first thought. He looked the aproaching golems. "Damn! I don't have enough time for that. I must fight against them" Exan yelled a warning to the few others standing near him and ran towards the creatures. One of the golems pointed at Exan and a cold ray hit him into the ground. Another golem tried to crush Exan with it's feet. Exan rolled aside and jumped to his feet. He called the weather to his aid. Slowly, storm clouds started to gather into skies. A lightning bolt struct one of the golem which lost its right arm. The creature didn't even slower it' pace. It pointed at the Alexandria's wall and sent a frost bolt to the wall which crumbled and tiles falled from it. Exan saw this and felt anger which he had never felt before. He had been among the builders who rebuilt that wall. He stopped to control the force and fell into Trance. A blinding light surrounded Exan and when the light disappeared, Exan's clothes were transformed to dark blue and there were storm and weather symbols. Exan's eyes were pure blue. He raised his hands and the wind started to grow stronger, storm clouds started to gather faster and small tornados landed from the clouds to wipe out the golems. " There are no such things as good and evil. These things depends of our point of view" |

(The Ice Golems were swept up and knocked down by tornadoes. Some self-destructed. In fact, there were a mere 5 left. But then something different happened. Energy surrounded the Golems as they...went into Trance! They grow to become Armor Golems, with powerful Megaton Punches!) |

One of the golems were struct by a changing weather bolt. It changed the weather around it so fast that the golem couldn't resist it and exploded. Exan's trance wore off and he transformed back to his normal shelf. Only that he had used all his energy and the golems were almost at the gates of Alexandria. "Damn!"Exan cursed" I can't let them destroy the city I have swored to protect" Exan took his spear (Obelisk) and starts running towards the nearest Armor Golem. " There are no such things as good and evil. These things depends of our point of view" |

((OK, I've been sick...so I couldn't post...but I think I understand where you guys are...so If it's way wrong...just yell....I'll rewrite)) Just before the first of the Golems could reach the cities gates.... (I'm don't know who or what the golems are...man, I need to play the game more!)....several things flared from the area before it. Several large fireballs struck out at the creature, some connecting with it and knocking it back a few feet. The other fireballs soared past to strike some of the other Golems. Then a large cloud of finely glitering objects appeared before the same Golem. It suddenly rushed forward, smacking into it and streaming past to hit some of the other Golems as well. As the cloud passed, the Golems could be seen covered with ice. One of the ones behind the lead one collasped down and exploded, knocking another one over. But just as the attack was thought to be over, a stream of purple huded lighting bolts arched out the strike two of the other surriving Golems. Another one went down in a shower of sparks, but the lead Golem was still sorta standing. Within one of the streets, a single many robed figure held onto her deep purple hat as she looked up at the gaint forms of the beasts she had attacked. Val'ris Loli, had tried to stop the things, but she had a nasty sinking feeling that her weak magic wasn't gonna do much. She had used the most powerful spells she owned, but they hadn't stopped all of them. The people of the city streamed all around her, fleeing for their lives. But not her. She just stood there, watching the Golems draw closer to the city gates. As the street cleared of people, she became aware that she was the only one still standing there. "Oh well....., let's try again, say what?" She let go of her hat and rolled up her sleeves.

Golems (OOC: I presume that the Armor Golems are at least 3-4 meters tall) Exan ran closer one of the golems and hit it to leg with his spear. The creature glanced at it's leg and puched Exan aside. Exan flied few meters backwards but he managed to land on his feet. He jumped over the same golem he had attacked and struct the creature into head. The creature exploded into a big explosion and Exan flew to the near tree. He falled from the tree still consicous but not very good in healt. Then he noticed single figure standing alone in the city gates. "Hey you! Exan shouted. "Run! Go to some place safe!" Exan staggered back to his feet and picked up his spear near the tree and started to limb towards the second golem. "Hey! I'm still standing. Don't bother to destroy the city. I destroyed many of you" The golems didn't paid any attention to Exan however and continued their approach towards the city. " There are no such things as good and evil. These things depends of our point of view" |

Re: Golems Val'ris held up her staff and looked up at the towering Golems, well the few still struggling toward the city gates. She heard someone yelling at her to get the hell out of there, but she didn't feel it was the right thing to do. She had only been inside the city for a few days, and felt she belonged here. Or rather that nobody would really notice her to much. "Then you got to go and do something like this again...." She pointed her staff at the lead Golem, who couldn't be more than tweny feet away from her. She was already tired from the first round of spells, but she felt that she had enough left to do some more damage. The Thunderga spell came forth once again. She felt this was probably the best spell to use against the beasts. The purple lightning bolts ripped forth from the tip of her staff, slamming into the Lead Golem. The Golem took one more step, then exploded into a firey shower of sparks. The few bolts that missed that Golem streaked into the remaining two. Val'ris smiled, her face hidden by the wide brim of her floppy hat. She head spun and she stumbled backward, landing roughly on her butt. As the spell died, it was visble that two of the Golems still stood. Val'ris peered up at them and realized she was right. "I'm good for nothing."

Golems Exan searched his pockets. "I must have something I can use against them" he muttered while searching. Finally he found a small lightblue potion. "What's this?" he wondered. Then he remembered it." A Hi-Potion. Cool!"Without further hesitation he drank it and felt some of his powers come back. He took a good grip of his spear and started running towards the golems. "I'm not done yet." he shouted to the golems."You're NOT going to destroy my city" " There are no such things as good and evil. These things depends of our point of view" |

You guys are doing great! OOC: Lazria, these are monsters from FF7. The Armored Golems are the most powerful of their kind, BUT they can be beaten! IC> (The Golems noticed Exan coming. They both fire Golem Lasers at him!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jason: What's going on here? (The battle was over at the Black Mage Village, but Jason was restless. He started sensing things and seeing visions from very far away. Mikoto and a Black Mage were there.) Black Mage 42: What do you see? Jason: It's a city, a place with alot of royalty. There's a battle going on in the streets. Some kind of Golems are there. Black Mage 42: A city with royalty? Mikoto: He must mean Alexandria. Zidane has told me alot about it. He said it was the grandest place in the world. If he's right, then the people there are in danger. Jason: Is there a way to get me there? Black Mage 42: Yes...but I haven't tried it in years. Jason: What is it? Black Mage 42: A Teleportation spell. Jason: Do it. I don't know why I'm seeing these things, but it must be important. Black Mage 42: Alright... (The Mage concentrates on the spell and casts it. It doesn't work.) Black Mage 42: My wiggly fingers aren't what they use to be. Voice: You've gone soft. Black Mage 42: I know that voice! Voice: Yes, you do. I am still alive, no thanks to any of you! (They all look up to see a winged figure perched on a rooftop. It's Black Waltz No. 2!) Black Mage 42: You were, ummm....Three, right? Black Waltz: Number 2. (He changed his attire to Number Three's because he'd gotten better at magic.) Black Waltz: It no longer matter anymore. I'm the last of my kind, the only survivor. Black Mage 42: Well, what do you want? Black Waltz: I will transport the boy to Alexandria. In return, I want to hear NOTHING of my past assignments. I do not wish to be labeled as an outcast. Mikoto: You're afraid to die. Black Waltz: The entire world use to fear Black Mages, myself above all. Now that things have changed, it is best that I do not have the world hunting me down like an animal. It is...degrading. Jason: Let him do it. He's throwing in the evil towel. Black Mage 42: Very well. Black Waltz: Don't blink. (Jason is transported to the gates of Alexandria, with the Golems already in the city.) |

Erm... *Danielle was nearly at Alexandria, when she noticed the Golems. Of course she rushes in and immediately starts to attack!!* Danielle: I don't know who you are, but you're going down!! |

The power of Ultima... (Jason is now in town. He sees the Golems and wonders why he knows them without ever seeing them before. It doesn't matter. What DOES matter is that they're trying to destroy the place. Energy flows out of him and condenses in before him. Then, it fires at one of the Golems in the form of a beam. It is the Ultima Beam Cannon, the mightiest Ultima attack ever recorded! The Armored Golem literally shatters and explodes as the other one almost falls over!) Jason: I need more practice. Dad is much better with Ultima. ~~~~~~~~~~ (The stranger saw it, but didn't believe it.) Man: Ultima energy! And tapped so easily! Who IS this child? Memoria spoke that very few could use Ultima. And even when they did, it was draining. This one could be useful to me. This one belongs to me, 'human'. (He looks around. Nobody is there. The words were sent directly to his mind.) Man: I don't want him, just the power. I will allow that. It may even help me. Man: And you are? The other side of the coin. (What does this thing mean? Who are EITHER of them? And what about Alexandria?) "We could kill anyone once." |
