Here are my photos. I tried to fix some as the ballroom photos cameout rather dark. I prefer the "slide show" format, and I wrote somecomments on a few of the pictures. One of my favorite photos is of me & Bruce!

Thanks Taelin! I've altered my captions to reflect this. May actually remove the second picture and try to lighten it up so we can see the people in the back a little better....

I'm an avid photographer and have photographed at many cons. I took a number of photos of the centerpiece panel, the signings with Craig Parker and Bruce Hopkins, and at the banquet (beforehand, the costume contest, and the band), as well as miscellaneous photos of people along the way. A note from Gandalf ~ The Gathering photos and thoughts
Greetings all,
Words cannot say how much I enjoyed the Gathering and meeting all of you. It was the people who made this happen, as is often the case, and many were the heroes who labored constantly so that others might better enjoy themselves. Parting with you was bittersweet, but we shall meet again I think, and that is a good thing to look forward to. I have collected some pics and added some of my own along with my thoughts. Feel free to browse among them and take what you like. Check back often, as I will be adding more as I can.
p.s. Bless all of the photographers who have taken such wonderful pictures. Your labors will forever remind future generations of the greatness of this age.

Here's a link to my pictures. Most of them are just me with fellow attendees or guests, and some of them are from Tuesday when a bunch of us went to Centreville. But I thought I'd post a link anyways. (Most of the pictures I took of panels and workshops didn't turn out since they were too dark).

So you're the lucky one Daniel. Enjoy it, as it really is a stunning piece of artwork.
I took a picture of Laheera holding it. I need to send her that thing now that I've fixed the exposure problem it had.
We were both drooling over it, but she was drooling a bit more than I was. I literally falling over words trying to describe those gorgeous pieces of needlework that were on display and in competition. As a fellow needleworker, I know how much work would go into those pieces and w/them being on linen...I bow down on bended knee in awe.
BTW, the techinical term for a piece being done all in one colour is called blackwork. Don't ask me why, but it is. Just thought I'd mention that.
Meanwhile...I've been really, really sick this past week and a half. At first I thought it was just exhaustion from The Gathering, but instead it was another bout w/an ongoing thing I battle w/. Due to that, only about a quarter of my pictures are up over at Photobucket. God willing this thing lets up in the next few days, I will get the rest of them up.
I just wanted to let all of you know what's been taking me so long in getting my pictures up for all of you to see and, for those who want to, download for your own albums.
