Hey, out of anybody you should be the most excited. You are going to get a triple GI review and I'll bet I can convince a few other people to post their thoughts here as well. I am SO excited to hear everybody's take. Mostly because I'll only be there the first night so it will be amazing to see how things evolve over the three days. WHOO HOO!

i will join you in your bitterness.
i'm not at the stage where i can be happy for others yet, but am excited to at least hear a recording of the show.
plus, john had a point on his myspace, i'd rather he play the small venues and me only getting tickets once in a while than him playing arenas and always getting tickets.
i was so excited about seeing dela too... you know how i love him!

See, the only thing is, the same people usually get tickets to everything!
Or at least it seems that way.
It's just so frustrating.
But yes, I enjoy the smaller venue shows much more.
Maybe he just needs to do way more of those.
Of course, then those same people I mentioned above will just get tickets to all the multiple shows, too.
Either way, I'm screwed.
Oh well.
I AM happy for those of you who did get tickets.
I am at that point.
I look forward to reviews and recordings as well.

Michelle, I assure you that I do not get tickets to everything. I've been to one show a year since 02 (except for two arena shows summer of 03) and the last time I saw him was July 04.

Honey, I was by no means talking about you.
I'm referring to those other people who get tickets for just about every tour.
You know, the ones who can somehow bankrupt themselves to follow him around the country on tour.
And the saddest thing, they're usually the crazies.
Ah well. I'm pretty over not being at these shows.

In honor of this incredible string of concerts at Eddie's Attic...I want to play a little game.
Let's pretend for a moment (some of you may not have to pretend) that your best friend in the whole world was going to all three nights of the Eddie's Attic shows....
If you could only have one song from each night, which three songs would you like as concert calls and why? (I know we don't know which songs he will play on which night, but we'll just pretend we can have any song on any night.)
I'll start.....
1. Why Georgia - because the concert is in Georgia
2. Back To You - because I love the acoustic version w/ Dela
3. Man On The Side - same reason as above

Yeah KJ, that's a tough choice to make. But I guess it'd go like this:
night #1 - 3x5 - one of my favorite songs in the whole world (but not the slow neon-style version. I want it to be as passionate and full of power as possible "OH today I finally overcame..." You know what I mean?).
night #2 - Covered in Rain - do I need to say why? it's self-explanatory!
night #3 - Good love is on the way - I'd love to hear this one so I don't forget that, although John's saying goodbye to so many great songs, some awesome stuff is coming our way.
And of course I'd try to get to listen to other songs. Especially Wheel - tears! LOL
is anyone up to a concert call to Brazil?
