I'll have to do that later... I need to run off to work... I'm such a procrastinator.

Looks like Gravity is the next single. I'm ecstatic with the choice. I fell in love with the song from the first note, back when it was just a live mp3 on the Trio website. I don't think I've ever felt a JM song quite as much as I feel this one. Close second would be Clarity, but even that one doesn't hold a candle to Gravity for me. I can't explain the feeling, but suffice it to say, good choice.

You know... this is just weird. I heard Belief on the radio (I want to say it was November 6th). I wonder what caused the switch.

BACK TO WORK, THEN!
My first night in the studio post-CONTINUUM... Always a scary thing to reapproach the drawing board, but I love the beatdown. Walking back to the well when times are good and getting that "this might suck" feeling all over again is crazy.

The music I want to make now feels very complex, almost...GULP....experimentational? (Famous last words, I know.)
A lot of the songs in my mind are more mental challenges - how can I make Elvin Jones work under a pop structure? - and I'm writing them to see if they can even be written, let alone be any good.
----
In the fifties, jazz was known as "modern music", and somehow these days it seems downright futuristic by comparison. I'm chomping at the bit to find out how to make the 200X version of "modern music"... Here goes everything...

Exciting stuff. If the mention of jazz was more than a passing reference, he should try and make it to the "2007 NYC Winter JazzFest" at the Knitting Factory next Wednesday. I thought about going to it myself but it starts too early in the work day (6pm).

Still doesn't prevent the 35 year olds with an IQ=36 from posting. And their IQs are 1 point higher than their age only b/c they know how to post glitter comments and pictures, not just regular comments.

Thought this was a pretty cool blog. I really forget about all the BS when I see him play.

TWO-ROCK SIGNATURE AMP DEMO
Drove up to Rohnert Park, CA today to visit with the guys at Two-Rock amps to get hands-on with the final tweaking... Here's a bit of video. Just riffing on "Slow Dancing", one of the most fun parts to play on the guitar... Amp is all done, sounds like... me.
