An Olympic feast...
Thalia started pinning up the garlands along the walls of the hall. She gave a faint smile as she tinkled one of the bells that hung from the garland. She had made the garland herself, picking the decorations from Aphrodite's favourite garden. That was the good thing about being friends with Aphrodite, she would allow you to borrow anything of hers, especially if it meant it made something beautiful.
'Perfect, don't you think?' she said asking her two sisters who stood standing around looking around the place. Thalia knew that Aglaia was itching to sing and that Euphrosyne was eagerly anticipating dancing, but they would have to wait for a while.
Thalia turned back to the decorating and lit the torch nearby before continuing to hang the garlands. The garlands were laden with roses, grapes and laural leaves.
Euphrosyne rolled her eyes as her sister commented on how perfect her decorating was, she then gave a sidewards glance at Aglaia who was stroking her throat, wanting to sing.
'Almost perfect. It's not perfect until it's finished in my opinion...' Euphrosyne as she turned to Aglaia who no doubt was mulling over her last meeting with Apollo.
Euphrosyne had always known that Aglaia had a thing for the sun god, the way she blushed in his presence was one that could not be ignored and Apollo probably knew how smitten she was with him.
'Aglaia why do you keep stroking your throat like that? You look like you have a rash or something, maybe you shouldn't come tonight?' she said, almost teasing her sister who's eyes had widened.
Aglaia nodded as her sister asked her if the garland decoration was perfect, but to tell the truth Aglaia wasn't really bothered about that. She gently carressed her throat as she anticipated singing and was thinking of Apollo.
She hated the way that God continued to make her blush in front of her sisters, she didn't know what came over her. Must've been how well his playing accompanied her voice or some nonsense like that.
Euphrosyne at that moment asked her whether she had a rash and Aglaia felt her eyes widen in anger, she glared at her sister who was watching Thalia with a knowing and irratating grin.
'No I do not have a rash. I'm just eager to sing is all,' she stated, as she observed her sister tapping her foot slightly to the beat of a song that Eros had been tapping on the table top at lunch, 'I can see that you're eager to dance seeing as you can't even let your feet stand still.'
Aglaia chuckled and tossed her long blond hair before turning back to the door, hoping someone would come in. After having zipped back from visiting Aphrodite they continued in their decorating, well, Thalia had.
Thalia finished the decorating and stepped back and glanced around the hall with an appreciative nod. Now they just had to arrange the food on the table.
'Phro?' she asked her sister Euphrosyne. She had decided to shorten her name to suit her needs, what possessed their mother to call her Euphrosyne was unknown to her.
'Phro? Could you go and see if Hermes has sent the invites because so far only Aphrodite has agreed to come and not even she has showed up yet,' she said knowing that Euphrosyne couldn't resist the chance to scold the messenger.
Euphrosyne gave a wide smile as her sister bade her to go and tell Hermes off. She nodded at her sister and started making her way to where she expected the little imp was.
Aglaia sighed, almost muscially, as she watch Euphrosyne flounce off to probably beat Hermes to a pulp. Aglaia didn't understand why Euphrosyne hated Hermes so much. Maybe she fancied him or something, or was it because he was probably more of a trickster than her? Aglaia shook her head in wonderment before looking back to her sister who was arranging the food on the tables.
'Do you need any help?' she asked absent mindedly as she started caressing her throat again. With everyword she said her voice got more and more musical.
