Well, I have a few that I can share later...well, more than a few...;)

hee hee hee...so many songs, so little time. *rolls eyes*

And I can share some of my stupid songs that I've written, and then there's the poem I wrote that used to be in my Signature on TORC...yes I'm getting carried away. :D

I'll be back tomorrow. ;)

Re: Songs and Poems
I love the little song that Frodo sings in the book at Bree...it's so cute (the perfect song to sing when drunk, I'd imagine)
I won't type it all out because I am lazy. I tried to write a frolicing song last night...but I won't torture you with it...
I wrote a pretty poem though!...
Who is she who sets the world in motion?
A wonderous and gentle spirit.
'Tis I,
the joy of the wind! That lifts up my song
together with the breaking dawn.

It's kinda weird, but so am I ...

okies...here are some of mine...rar

The fall it seems is here at last
And ever do I wish it past
On from fall and into winter
And never again the spring time hinder
Lovely spring to adorning summer
Where life begins the sun there under
Dreams are made anew again
Hope abounds to anger's end
Here I'll ever live in vision
The savior of frozen prison
---------------------------------------------
I feel the fall coming forward
In my bone is where its stored
The crickets chirp and sky is orange
The birds they start to fly from north
And in my mind is ever still
And urging force I cannot will
To fly away like bird in air
And come into a land so fair
My mind is ever there in dream
Yet holding me are things unseen
And thither will I ever go
When peace I've not and naught I know
For peace and healing comes from Kings
And not from anything other things
For where they are I do not know
Yet hither to them I will go
------------------------------------------
In this deathly place called winter
There's one place I wish to be
Back up north right next to Goshen
Is where my heart is resting deep
In frozen winter did I see
A quiet lake deserted
Calm the water seemed to be
There my thoughts converted
Wind was breathing over surface
On an island did I feel
Waves were creeping all around me
Friged wind did my heart heal
Guitar playing, softly baying
Across the water did it play
Paradise fro wounded spirit
Ever does it search that way
---------------------------------------
I wish to write a poem now
Of days long gone and past
Of summer days that fade away
And never seem to last
Ice is ever drawing near
Its icey breath it sprays
And so I fear, that winter's here
Choking out the red sun's blaze
Once the sky was dressed in blue
The sun was bright in sky
But when winter's in, the sky grows dim
And yellow it draws nigh
My heart is always laying far
From leafless tree and plant
I wait for spring and what it brings
But for cold, long for I shant

Re: poems
Okay...all deleted. :)

And here are some poems I've written...(some of them are stupid and short...*rolls eyes*...I was up late the night before I went to Oregon writing all of them except for the first, which I wrote quite a while ago...it was in my Sig at TORC, some of you might remember)

******************************
In my soul there is a light
A light that shines only for you
In my heart there is a love
A love that is meant only for you
And in the night there is a place
A place where we will meet again
Where my love for you will grow
And a star shines brightly in the dark
******************************
Take my hand and you will see
The way that love is meant to be
Not a dream, nor a lie
But real and true as the starry sky
******************************
When you see me in your dreams
Come back to me, come back to me
I will lead you to the light
And we will dance with the starry night
******************************
Look! A star is shining in the sky
'Tis a lovely night that takes us high
Shall we dance? To the song of the night?
Yes! We will dance and stay with the light
******************************
O my love, don't stray too far
Hold me and give all of your heart
And while you wander in the dark
My love will be with you.....
Even though we must part
******************************
Far away her love does dwell
But close in heart she keeps him well
And when he looks into her eyes
He sees true love, and grey-blue skies
******************************
In the meadows, by the trees
Dwell flowers, birds, and bumble-bees
The sunlight shines, the river flows
And all my love, to you it goes
******************************
Take me away, into the night
Show me your love, show me the light
When you lose hope, I will be here
And together our hearts will forever be near
******************************

There! Hehehe...as I said...I wrote all of them in the same night except for the first one...I was getting a crazy creative-streak...and I used sky, night, stars, and hearts a lot...*rolls eyes*

;)

I also have some songs that I've written (some are unfinished, and a couple I wrote with Ezzy...), but I wrote a lot of them a LONG time ago, and most of them are TOO stupid to share here. Hehehe...but Ezzy might talk me into sharing them...who knows!

Oh, and Ezzy, I think your poem is really cute! :D

Re: poems
Here's my poem- I hope you all like it! :)
_____________________________________
Hot, bitter tears sting in her eyes.
It could have been beautiful,
Now she just cries.
To think of the past is just not enough.
She thinks of the details,
His warm loving touch.
The times when he held her,
To hear her heart beating,
And treasure the moments
However so fleeting.
He was simply her life and her everything.
She soared like an eagle,
With him as her wings.
But a happy ending this fairy tale lacks.
She would have to get used to one little fact;
True love isn't perfect, you often get burned.
It was quite the hard way,
But now she has learned.
Love is a little like a glass ball.
No matter what happens,
It breaks when it falls.
To pick up the pieces means even more pain;
She leaves it alone now,
There's nothing to gain.
She'll walk away, just a little bit stronger-
Able to hold on a little bit longer.
Next time she'll be different-
She'll show him she cares.
She let go of an angel,
And God has no spares.

Re: poems
wow!! that's really good! I love it!!! I have a songie I would like to sing/write...the chorus may be familiar to some...ahem...

If friendships were meant to last forever, why do they end?
And if life wasnt meant to be so bitter, why did we sin?
Well I hope you hear me now Lord
Out from my heart this song pours
Thanking you for all you've given me

Open the eyes of my heart Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see you, I want to see you (repeat)

If you had meant for me to do it my way, you wouldnt have called
And if we were truly meant to love you, why did we fall?
Well I hope that we can fix it, heal out deathly sickness
Hear our words as we are crying out (Chorus)

To see You high and lifted up, shining in the light of Your glory
Pour out your power and love, as we sing holy holy holy...

(ok..yeah..so I just put verses to, "Open the Eyes of my Heart"...but its like my best song. And btw...I do Christian music..in case you didnt guess)

Re: Thule's poem
I think your poem is so good, Thulë. I just re-read it and I'm so impressed. I know this sounds terrible, but I love poems that rhyme :D Those are always my favorites.. too much Dr. Seuss as a kid, maybe. I love the 'glass ball' part...

Very nice
Your poem is beautiful, Thulë. I really like it. :D

I have another little poem that I wrote on the 3rd...

There is a song inside of my heart
Its melody bright and true
And when I listen to that song
I know that I'll always love you
When you leave, I will fall apart
But we shall still be together
And I will know that you are the one
Always and forever

It's funny, my two longer poems I wrote on the computer for something to put on a signature...hehehe. :D

I WROTE AN MEA SONG!!!
*Clears her throat*
To the tune of "We wish you a Merry Christmas";

Las made her kitty evil,
Tinny made soap for Leggy,
Celeb wet his one ring undies,
Lin is still not married!

Beautiful
I love "open the eyes of my heart!" I'm a christian and I love it when we sing that at church! Okay, here is some of my own poetry:

The Sorrow of the Noldor

Why didst thou, O Noldor, depart from these blessed lands seeking curse and misery?
Now thou art fallen, and great is thy sorrow, for curse and misery thou hast found, and reveled therein til the end of thy days.

Thou didst seek power, as well as freedom from the just rule of the Valar of Valinor. In thy greatest follies didst thou not slay thy kindred? Trusting in pride and vain hope.

Now doest thou mourn, and most bitterly, too, for thy princes thou hast killed with lust and greed, thy people slaughtered in thy rash anger, and thy lands of old destroyed in terrible war.

So now thou doest weep for shame and sorrow at thy rash follies of old, for the time of the elves has come to a close in the land thou didst seek, and thou must return once more to Valinor to beg pardon of the Valar whom you didst insult in your times of rash and unfounded anger.

What now shalt be done, O Noldor?
Thou went forth from Valinor a great and mighty people, but now thou must return humbled and crushed, weak and sickly, to the shame of thine own past.

For once thou, O Noldor,
wert a great and might people, though prideful. Thy people were noble, just and honorable. But now in thine own conquests of folly and anger, thine own pridefulness is tarnished with defeat and shame at thine own conduct.

O house of Finwe, where art thy noble princes that did leave this place in great pride and splendour?
For they have not returned from their conquests, though vain, and have not bent the knee in humble supplication for forgiveness from the Valar, and no longer does Valinor hear of them and their great nations.

The streets of thine great cities have long since been destroyed, and memory only remains. The Eldar no longer hear the word of thine great princes, for they have fallen into shadow, to the Halls of Mandos, and have not been sent back until the end of the ages.

Beleriand stands in its crushed pride beneath the waves now, and where art the great people of the Noldor? They too have gone to the Halls of Mandos, and few remain. The hearts of the Noldor are heavy with the grief that they have wrought for themselves, and few remain on the land that they sought so earnestly.

Such is the grief and sorrow of the Noldor, for they were a great and strong nation, skilled in craftmanship of things of beauty and of war. But they listened to the lies of Morgoth, and fell, fell, fell ever downwards. Now they art weak and few remain to tell their tale. For none but the Silvan had dealings with them in the times of their rule in Beleriand, sweet, sweet Beleriand. Riddled with war and sorrow, even now it groans from pain far beneath the sea.
Such is the sorrow of the Noldor
-----------------------------------------------------
So, I know it's sad, but the fall of the Noldor is sad, as is their tale. What do you think?

Namarie!

Wow Arineel! That's brilliant. :D

This is my little non-tolkien poem. I hope you like it.

Wooded Walk

Frosted breath of forest fern
Crisp crackled vegetation underfoot
As I try to match my tread
To those forging on ahead, exploring.
The child jumps madly from behind
Dancing round my feet -
She pretends to be a leaf,
Whipped up by the wind
To scatter gaily on the pathway.
Her laughter strikes the air
And rivals birdsong.
I wish all life were as peaceful
As a wooded walk in sunshine.

There may be a light beyond the darkness;
if so, I would have you see it and be glad.
