Greg,

Welcome to the Nicholson 31 Forum!

Can you post a brief history of your 31?

Re: Watertank
Hi Andy
Thanks for the welcome.
I have a website and some pics of my Nic on there - www.tradewindsmarketing.co.uk
Over the last 3 years I have been working my way right through the boat - not much I haven't done, nor any crevice I haven't looked in, including inside the fuel tank. Original engine has been totally re-built, new standing and running rigging etc etc. This winter it's a "window out" rebuild through eagle boat windows of skipton. Also, toe rail tidy up with full length brass rubbing strip (1/2" keel band) to stop the fenders cutting in. Re- wired the mast - tricolour, antenna, B&G wind etc.
Ask me a question and I've probably been there! It's all a bit OTT, but I see it a bit like re-building a quality classic car - like an Aston Martin. It makes no financial sense but we're only here once, and there will never be any more Nic 31's made. If only I could sort out reversing in marinas, the Nic is pretty close to being the ideal short handed yacht - big enough to go places but small enough to handle on your own. I know the previous owner did a lot of cruising in this yacht, from Ireland to Brittany etc, plus a trans atlantic. I have quite a lot of ownership history but not too much on the earlier life.
As I say if anyone has a question - please feel free to ask.
