10 Things About Me

10 things: hmm.... Well, here goes!

1: I'm 18, 5'2", light brown hair, green eyes, and really skinny!
2: I LOVE reading!
3: I'm trying to learn bluegrass guitar (I love bluegrass!!)
4: I'm 18, and don't have a drivers license yet (I do have a permit, and Daddy is teaching me to drive)
5: I've lived in the South all my life, and am a true Southerner!!!
6: I live in Texas now, and if I could visit any other state, it would be Virginia. I really want to go there: There's just SO much history there! So many historical landmarks to visit!!
7: I graduated from highschool this year
8: I want to learn Greek, to study the New Testament better, and because it absolutely fascinates me!!
9: One of my role models is Amy Carmichael, because of her devotions to follow her Lord in whateverhe wanted for her
10: I love acting

Well, there's some interesting stuff about me! I've enjoyed reading all of y'all's posts, too! Since I'm new here, maybe this will help me get to know y'all better!!

HisGirl86 ~Reminisce Member~ Posts: 18 (7/21/03 6:06 pm) Reply	Re: 10 Things About Me I'm bringing this topic back up because it looked interesting. 1) I am 17 and I've lived in 15 different houses. 2) I've seen both President Bush's motorcades, in person. 3) I play the flute and the piccolo 4) I have 3 younger siblings who are taller than myself. 5) I have 8 siblings all-together and I want to have at least 12 children of my own. 6) I spent a 9 days in a castle in Europe. (No, not in the dungeon. 7) Once I spent 5 hours straight on the phone, with a friend from Australia. 8) I've never had a broken bone or stitches. 9) I collect keychains, cards, postcards, and foreign currency. 10) I've never been farther west than Texas and never farther north than Washington, D.C. (in the United States...that doesn't count Europe. ) Oh, and Hannah, I have friends who eat frozen corn straight out of the bag. I don't know about other veggies but they do eat corn that way! With new facts about me, of course. 1) I do not like potato salad, nor cole slaw for that matter. Yuck! 2) I now have shoulder length hair (I got it cut back in June), as my hair is EXTREMELY thick and hard to handle. I can actually put it up now! 3) I have discovered the art of wearing hair ribbons. 4) I am learning to play "Fur Elise" on the piano. 5) I have long fingers and small wrists. Longish fingers are nice for playing piano. 6) I love emoticons. Don't we all????? 7) I'm one of the official "answerers-of-the-phone" in our house..."S________' residence, how may I help you?" 8) I had to wear braces for two years due to the fact that I used to suck on my fingers. You can guess I'm never going to let my children (if I ever have any) suck on their fingers! 9) I share a room with my little sister Victoria. 10) I enjoy thunder and lightning storms, just not at night when I'm trying to sleep! This is the ______'s residence. How may I help you please?". It's funny. Sometimes after we answer the phone we have had people say "Boy! I need you for my secretary!". lol! You wouldn't believe how much people appricate it when you use manners on the phone. I mean like not answering the phone with a "I just woke up" sounding hello, and that's it. I guess I kind of got off the main topic in this forum. Sorry! lol ~~Shannon~~

Just recently a friend gave me a bunch of coins from Australia! They were cool. And I work part time as a checker, so I sometimes get interesting coins that way. I recent picked up a Euro coin (don't remember what it was worth, and the other day I found a penny from Panama! Atlanta

My collection is not very big compared to most....but I have things from: Australia, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Netherlands, Hungary, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Italy, Ghana, Scotland, the Bahamas, and two other countries I can't figure out. I have strawberry blonde hair, middle back. I'm growing it out for the American Cancer Society, then it will be shoulder length. 3. My fav thing is reenacting the Civil War. Civil War Balls especially. 4. I do not like ketchup, coleslaw and the like, or mayonaisse, mustard, etc. "Plain Jane" 5. I play the piano, violin (sort of), and recorder. 6. Fav subjects in school...History and Writing 7. I have one sis, Kate 8. I go to Williamsburg, VA about 3 times a year, and PA about 6 or 7 (at least) Actually, I'm heading to PA this weekend for a reenactment! 9. I live in SOUTHERN Delaware. 10. I should live in VA, because I'm a true Southerner at heart, to the dismay of my best friend. Just kidding, that is a standing joke between us! I could go on and on... I enjoy being on the computer. 4. I have been dresses/skirts only for several years. 5. I do not like bananas, tomatoes, rootbeer, or cream soda. 6. Living in the country. 7. Helped operate and run our market garden for a couple years. 8. I am an aunt. 9. I attended public school for a couple years and then was homeschooled. 10.
