I suggest you try to keep it off topic Aurenlay, night-time talking during Mafia games is frowned upon... what you've started to do has the potential of affecting people's night choices.

25. ~~~DAY 1!~~~ Having barely reached their destination, unpacked their gear trying desperatley to put it all away before nightfall, the group already started heaving snowballs at one another...it was to be expected. Already having started it against the girls, it soon became a war, two forts, two groups, no mercy! The house lights, garage lights, ski-lift lights and the lights at the top of the hill where they were had all turned on eventually to reveal a group of unrelentless teens pelting one another with large snowballs and laughing hysterically. The two groups had eventually merged into one on one combat and ended up forming somewhat of a doggy pile...Laughing, hiccuping and barely breathing they rolled onto their backs and began getting up remembering the fact that they had all been starving since they got there. All dusting their clothes and beginning to pick up removed articles of clothing from underneath mounds of snow, they noticed one body still lying in the snow, face-down, stiff and unmoving. Pale with horror and fright at what might be the case with their friend, the group gathers around the corpse to confirm the thought that was running throught everyone's head.... They turned thedark over only to see a massive gash in the middle of his forehead...he had been struck with a rather nasty snowball...clearly one with more stone than stone....the girls started screaming as the guys stared balnkly in horror as the warm blood still dripping on the snow steamed towards the grey and heavy sky which now began to let down it's cold flakes upon the gathering. Horiffied and heavily disturbed by the event, not speaking anything yet, the group carried thedark's body back to the garage until they could figure out what to do with it..... thedark, your innocent long-time buddy has been murdered by one of YOU evil and crude friends, he was deemed the "misunderstood"one. IT IS NOW DAY, after that horrible night, you come together by the fire to discuss the events. Let's be serious for a moment now, do I even LOOK guilty? |

29 Well, it looks like we have one killing party. That means there is no more danger to any confirmed innocents than to other townies. Oh, if I was mafia, I'd kill thedark. But that's just a coincidence, I swear! |

34. I dunno EC, is that a good reason to vote for diplomat? It seems to me that Beoneknight's question is sorta hard to answer. No matter what you say, you're in trouble. Suffice to say, I'm not mafia, and I'm not going to, nor have I killed anyone. I'll wait to vote until I see some more discussion here. [edit]number Don't call me baby... 35 Random, discussion provoking, first day voting makes it easier for information to be revealed under the guise of votes (of whatever kind), tends to make the discussions more relevant sooner, and adds a badly needed amount of pressure on all players--which greatly increases the chances of mafia making mistakes. Any vote (random or otherwise) that hits a mafioso, would put a lot of pressure on the scum, because he wouldn't be sure what's really behind that vote. Thus, random voting in the beginning of the game = GOOD, people that fear random voting in the beginning of the game = POSSIBLY BAD. vote: Starmandeluxe FOS: Diplomat because the Mafia often feel tempted to make a bold answer to the question Beoneknight asked. |

YOU have voted for me?! first of: unvote starmandeluxe Here is the list of people rightnow that are gonna get FOSes: starmandeluxe: how do you propose we get the discussion started ifwe do not vote randomly?! big fos aurenlay: dont try to change the topic here, or try to protect someone who may be mafia (are the two of you affiliated?) and answer the question. If you were to be mafia whom would you kill? slight fos radwulf: why comment on the question before everyone has a chance to respond? finally: vote diplomat..... you were going to shoot him... yeah.... not convinced in your argument |

38 Beoneknight, I voted for you because your question seems to be just a big trap to twist whatever people say in an attempt to lynch innocent townies. It seems, however, that you will not be content until I answer your question. So if I were mafia, the first person I would kill would be Radwulf because everybody always follows whatever he says, and from what I've seen and heard, he seems to have the most control over people, being the most experienced at this game. If I were mafia and he were innocent, I'd want him out of the game before he could do any damage. I wonder, are you and Radwulf in on this little charade together Beoneknight? Don't call me baby... |

40 Aurenlay, the insinuation that the question is some sort of a plot to trap townies, is ridiculous. For your information, me and Beoneknight have played a lot of live mafia together, and I've used that question several times to jump start our games--with great success. I can recall at least three times when I've caught scum immediately after the start of the game, because they tried to answer that question in a daring, courageous manner (i.e. "amazing, I would kill the guy that just got killed, honestly--but of course I didn't kill him") or one that pointedly tries to get an alibi (i.e. "OF COURSE I would kill you man, not that guy, there's no question about it"). I think Godess of Nin and Bumandahalf (also players of live mafia in the UIC HC lounge) can confirm that. I think the question is less useful in a bulletin board game as people have time to think about their answers (that is why I didn't insist on waiting for everyone to answer it), but it has the potential of generating relevant discussion, as indeed it did in this game. Lastly, you Aurenlay seem pretty afraid of that question--and you DID answer the question in a somewhat suspicious manner. If you consider me the most valuable player, and you have reasons to fear me, you would also realize I am one of the most likely doctor targets in the first night, so you wouldn't try to kill me in the first night. Ergo, the logic behind this statement: "So if I were mafia, the first person I would kill would be Radwulf because everybody always follows whatever he says" is very dubious. FOS: Aurenlay |
