Daily devotion on-line
I would like to start a daily devotion/discussion on-line with anyone who is interested. It will begin with Matthew, pretty much one chapter a day.
The idea is that we do our devotion on the Word, then write down the things to share, and put the sharing on the board.
The formatt is listed as the following:
1.God's character and deed: What character or deed you see about God from this chapter?
2.Promise: What is the promise from God?
3.Command: What is His command for us?
4.Sin: What type of sin does this chapter being mentioned?
5.Model: What is the model/lesson we need to learn here?
6.Miscellaneous: As topic.
7.Core Message: Try to use just one word to summarize what the lesson is; then for the rest of the day, use that key word to focus on God.
8.Daily Application: As topic.
Far too often in the past, I just did my 5 minutes devotion and went to the next stage of daily life. By doing this devotion/sharing, it will help me to meditate His words a bit more. Also by sharing our thoughts in this board, it will bring Christians together thru prayers and care.
I know there is a 12 hours gap between US and Aussi time. But if we are able to do it the first thing in the morning, just participate whenever we can will be okay. Don't be afraid for not able to participate daily. If you miss a day, just pick it up again the next day. Let me know if you are interested. The starting day will be Aug 16, Monday.
