Whats your greatest fear?

My greatest fear used to be of ladders...not hieghts, ladders. But the other day I looked at one and was thinking, "that's not so bad" so I don't know what I'm scared of anymore. I guess I would be afraid of tornados but that really doesn't spark anything inside of me. I really do not know. I am scared that other people won't like me because I am a very insecure person...does that count?

Some peoples' fears aren't serious, while some peoples' are. My greatest "serious" fear is that something might happen to anyone in my family that prevents me from seeing them or leading a normal life with them (ex. divorce, death, kidnapping, coma). my less serioous fear is (don't laugh please) here it comes... (you people are the first I've told this to) here we go... (remember not to laugh) okay......(PLEASE don't laugh) sigh takes a deep breath and exhales.... I'm scared of the dark. Okay laugh at me HAHAHAHAHA! I've either heard or imagined them all "oooh, do you keep a night light in your room?""oh no! night's coming, turn on the sun for him!" yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah. awwww.... be quiet (hopefully in reading all this junk you're forgotten my fear)

Did you know that on average, a person will eat 3 spiders a year while asleep? I hate spiders. But, I face my fear and slaughter as many as I possibly can Kinda disturbing, though, when one of their legs pops off but keeps twitching. shivers

The Bible says not to fear the one who can take away the body, but to fear the one who can take both body and soul. But, other than sweet Jesus, my greatest fear would be...WAIT! I'm SPACEMAN SPIFF! I AM FEARLESS!! Well, the "Matt" side of spaceman spiff is totally freaked out about insects and spiders. Espeicelly the bees i hate. Mmmm.... spiders!!

I am totaly in love with insects as I wanted to grow up to be a Entomologist (Person who studies Insects Scientifically) I am however scared to pieces of Tornadoes. Anything that can pick up homes and buildings tractors etc.. and can cast them about like a doll has earned a healthy respect from me :) When recently driving from Modesto, California USA to Missouri USA we had to drive through 3 states that are well know for having tornadoes and I could not relaxe at night because we were in Texus, Oaklhoma, and Kansas. I heard on the news after we were on the way back home that a terrible storm passed through all these states with quite a few tornadoes and was so relieved we made it out of there. My Bigest biggest biggggest fear is Hell. Can you imagine eternity burning to death but unable to die and stop being tormented by the demons, throwing your self off a cliff and not dying but still in eternal pain with never one drop of water to quench your eternal thirst. I am glad my name is written in the lambs book of Life and that Jesus Died on the cross for me to secure my place in Heaven when I asked his forgivness and asked him to come into my heart and be my personal lord and savior!!!!!!!!!! I live in Texas and never been in a tornado but have seen two in recent years. Was crazy is that i have dreams of them. And these dreams are wild and so real. I've learn to tell what a tornado weather looks like is just to be safe. See even tho people live here in Tex many of'em can't tell when a twister is in the area i.e. county by looking at the sky. My other fear is losing to the computer in BroodWar. Ok, i'm joking. It's loosing someone and i can't take it and brake down. As for me i really don't fear death but if my love ones die i'm not sure how i'll react to it. I think i can handle it but... i really don't know. Well it was the fear of God, our father that really got me saved. Just like Spaceman, i kinda fear Him but it's more of a spiritual thing. Prasie God. Oh, and hey Zed-e ! it's good to see you on the forum again bud.

You planning on not having to pay for anything since no one will see you, so you will then not have to work and can play all the time? LOL!!! I have no fear of spiders and don't bother them unless they happen to be near the bed. I don't mind them, but that doesn't mean I want to sleep with one! Of course, eating one would be good protein! I used to be afraid of the dark... it was sort of an on and off thing - I'd be afraid of the dark for a few years, then not afraid, then afraid, and so on. The closest to afraid of the dark that I might be now is if I'm in the woods somewhere at night without a moon to see by and I hear all kinds of wild animals that are big enough to hurt me. As for tornadoes and other natural disasters, heh, I actually like all those things! I would LOVE to be a Storm Chaser and video tape and test all those tornadoes and storms! Although I don't think I would fly into the center of a hurricane like they do. I was actually helping to deliver newspapers during a hurricane. It was great!!! I've seen a hurricane, now I just want to see a live tornado, earthquake, flood, etc. That's not to say that I want to be directly in the path of any of those... just within sight of them. Hm.. so what am I afraid of besides the obvious - Hell? Hm.... Losing a loved one would probably rank tops there. I'm not sure what else there is.

The Bible's portrayal is mostly fire, and that's a view you could take. It could also be any number of other tortures, whatever you fear, multiplied beyond imagining. I'd have to say it doesn't matter how you conceptualize it, as long as you remember that regardless of what it actually is, it will be incredibly painful and totally eternal.

Hell will just be affully hot but the bible does not talk about us being poked by pitchforks or boiled in oil etcc by demons. I have read however in Revelations that after the tribulation and the 1000 year reign The Devil and his Demons will be cause into the Lake of Fire with all the unbelievers for all eternity. He does not want to be there anymore than we do opr don't. Kinda silly thing I remembered today was when I was in high school a heavy metal dressing guy I witnessed to stoped me and said "Dude I wanna go to Hell so I can party with all ym friends and my IDols in Rock because they sold there souls to the Devil!" I started thinking about that and how much I desire the farthest thing from that and feel its exceptional crazy to think that the lake of fire (HINT HINT) is gonna be a party!!! hehe Anyway, nuff said :) NeXuS WWJD?
Corpfox Corporal (8/22/00 3:14 am) Reply	Re: Whats your greatest fear? i dont blame u, fear of darkness, my sister is too afraid of darkness, but hey.. well, i'm afraid of spiders, insects, vicious dogs, and blood. since most accidents i had, had blood, but hey, usually i live to c it. Once, (in high school), some guy wouldnt let me in to a class room, so i felt like punching him, a split-second later, i broke the window of the class room door, right in the center, like a "bull-eyes". Scaried me when my hand had blood all over, almost fainted too.

I used to be afraid of bullies at school, but that was a loooong time ago... Then I used to be afraid of blood too. I haven't completely got over that but it isn't so much of a problem these days. I can't say there's any particular physical thing I'm particularly afraid of - though I'm sure there are plently out there I haven't met yet I would like to see some of those really amazing natural events that M'Rhan was talking about - from a safe distance of course I guess after saying all that, my greatest actual fear right now is of failure. Whether that's at work or at home or wherever. Hey, good thread. Really got me thinking!
