If you were a Desciple would you have let the Centurion try to take a swipe at your Lord and Savior and not just cut off his ear?

My Answer to this one is I would have been a terrible Disciple and would have loped the guards head off as easily as making a glass of water dissapear... I am ashamed of thins, but when a man and Son of God died for me I am over protective...

Okay, here I go!

In response to NeXus, I think that I would have gotten rash too, and tried to slaughter all of the Romans around me. Then, this is going to sound bad, I would probably get out of hand and yell, yes I said yell, at Jesus for not doing anything. I know it is the last thing I would do, but it probably would be my first. Amazing what we would do as opposed to what we ought to do. eh?

oh, wrong defintion.

Fear-- to be uneasy or anxious or to be affaid of danger. I recommend reading Luke 12:1-12 for the Biblical view of fear.

Question: Why do you think Jesus told the parable in
Luke 13:6-9?

Most would read the parable as though God has spared the world from judgement on the condition that humans get their act together over a deadline.

I read it however that the tree is fallen humanity and Christ is the servant; the one who can and does give life to that which is dead. He gives us good things (grace, peace) in order that our faith may grow. We receive these gifts and repent (from the Greek word meaning "to change one's mind") from unbelief to belief.

My Question: Why does Tom Cruise get to be in movies with REAL actors like Dustin Hoffman, Paul Newman and Robert Duval?
