Re: Celebration (cont.)
Anorista merely shot him an unamused glare, and ran a hand to her stomach. It was slightly puffing out now. She walked over to the bag and looked at it. What's wrong with Legolîn? She asked, tilting her head. She finished off her piece of lembas, before walking over towards the counter. Anorista began to search for another piece.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Legolas followed her. He rolled his eyes. No doubt she was looking for more Lembas. "He's upset with me because I commented to his teacher about it. None of the kids picked on him...he's just upset that I told someone about it...." He watched her get another piece. Legolas smiled slyly and walked to her side. He took the piece of lembas from her and at it. "Thank you..I was rather hungry. You best stop eating so much...you might blow up and explode...I would not wnat that now..." He said teasing her.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Anorista rolled her eyes and shoved by him. Must you tease me so!? This is hard enough!
She stormed to her room and slammed the door. Once inside, she walked to the small balcony outside their room; covered in flowers and ivy. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair stressfully.

Legolas frowned and was about to follow her, but once he heard the door slam, he thought better. Great. Now both were angery or upset at him. What did He do? Sighing, he walked outside and sat on the front porch and sat in teh rocking chair.
Legolas rocked silently, pondering what she meant by 'this is hard enough'.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Sighing, Anorista became frustrated. She had to tell someone! Pausing for a moment, she opened the door to her room, and went to Legolîn's room. Going in, she shut the door, and saw her son was reading, when he looked up to her oddly.
Both emerged from the room about twenty minutes later. Legolîn had a small smile upon his face. Anorista still looked worried -- yet less so, now that her son knew. Both walked to the counter. He sat down at it, while Anorsta got out three pieces of Lembas. One for each, and then one to split.
Her appitite was like that of a growing elven boy. Large. As they began to eat, Legolas came back in. Upon seeing Anorista eating AGAIN -- he walked over and took the bread from her.
Will you stop eating!? This is for your own good... He warned.
Legolîn stood and grabbed the bread back from Legolas. Give it back to her! He said angrily.

Legolas frowned. Something was going on. Legolas looked at his son warningly, "You watch your tone young man." He scolded. "Something is going on...you are eat a lot..and you STILL keep from me. I demand to know what is going on!" He practically yelled. They were hidingsomething. Why should he NOT know?! This angered him. He felt insulted, and hurt.

Re: Celebration (cont.)Don't tell me to watch my tone! Legolîn said, his own voice raising. And don't yell at her like that!
They began yelling over each other--arguing in similar ways. Both their pride hurt by the events of the day. Both easily boiled.
I'm pregnant! Anorista finally yelled over them. Both the Elves stopped and looked to her. Legolîn already knew and lowered his eyes. After a moment of silence, he gave the lembas to his mother.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Legolas' eyes widened. He looked from Anorista and Legolîn. So THAT was what they were hiding! He was more stunned then anything. Stunned that she was going to have another child, and stunned that they kept it from him. Legolas was happy to have another child.A faint smile was on his face. Clearing his throat he looked at her. Silently, Legolas walked back to their room, and shut the door silently.
There he sat. On the bed. Staring at the floor. Trying to think WHY she did not tell him, and WHY Legolîn spoke to him in such a tone.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Anorista sighed as she watched him walk away; deadly silent and go into their chambers. Once the door was shut she closed her eyes and rested agaisnt the counter.
'Tis what I feared... She whispered. He doesn't want another...
Legolîn said nothing. He stared at his mother worriedly, before trailing his eyes down to the counter.
Perhaps I could....have it....removed.... She mumbled to herself in deep thought.
Her son's head snapped up. No mother, you can't. I know you, you would not take it's life.
Well perhaps I could have the child, and offer it to Kira. She said, looking to him hopefully, yet her eyes welling.
Legolîn sighed. You know she would not accept it, and you know that YOU would not have the strength to give up something you love.
Anorista moaned and put her head into her hands. Looking up again, her eyes now shining with tears though none fell, she grabbed her coat.
Where are you going? Legolîn asked, rolling his eyes slightly.
For a walk. She said. I'll be back...
He watched her go, sadly, knowing he could not stop his mother. Yet he could speak to his father. Legolîn walked down the hall and opened the door, staring now at his father.
You can't leave her now. He said sternly. This is your child, and just because you may only want one, does not mean you can disregard mother, or the child.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Legolas' lifted his eyes to his son. His eyes were hard as he stood. He walked over to his son and stared down at him, for he was still shorter them him.
"It is not the child Legolîn. I would NEVER disown my own flesh and blood. What bothers me is HOW could neither of you tell me!? She could you, yet not tell her husband. And You. I am your father. Do not talk to me such. Do not raise your voice at me."
He folded his arms across his chest. "I do not CARE how many children are in this family. Born or unborn they are still part of our family." He stopped. There were somethings he wanted to sat...but stopped. For such was not meant to be heard by him

Re: Celebration (cont.)
She didn't tell you because she was afraid you wouldn't want another child! He said strongly. And with the way you reacted: leaving the room, saying nothing, and coming in here alone....she had good reason to think that! She still thinks that!
He ran a hand through his golden hair and looked back to his father. Why don't you say what you really want to this time?!....Don't hold back, I'm old enough to hear whatever you have to say.Edited by: Anorista at: 8/24/03 3:18 pm
Re: Celebration (cont.)
Legolas frowned. "And I have good reason to come in here alone. I am glad to have another child. I will love that child as I love you. But holding back things like THIS is not wise. And somethings are not meant for your ears. They are for your mother and WILL only be spoken to her. Where is she...I need to speak with her. I've heard enough from you today. All you have given me was an additude. Well you know what...Go to your room. I don't want to hear you anymore right now.People need time to sort things out. That is what I must do. Now go to your room."

Re: Celebration (cont.)Go to my room?! He repeated in disbelief. I'm not 200 years old anymore! You can't tell me what to do! You know why you've had attitude from me??...Because you embarrassed me! You told the teacher I'd been fighting! You told the teacher the kids were making fun of me! THAT's why! I didn't ask for your help!
With that, Legolîn stormed out. He walked into the living room and grabbed his pack. The door slammed on his way out as he left.
Meanwhile, Anorista had made her way around the small path which encircled their home. Her arms crossed in front of her, as she walked; staring down at the ground.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
He growled in fustration and sat down on the bed with his head in his hands. What had he done? Anorista was gone...now his son too! "Damn it..." He cursed under his breath. Now he was alone. Not that he minded being alone, it was that the ones he loved were angry. And what's moe...at him.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Anorista opened the door to her home and slipped in. It had been almost an hour since she left for a walk. Sighing, she took off her coat and threw it over a chair. She walked down the hall, and stopped at her chamber. Anorista took in a deep breath before going in. Legolas was sitting on the bed -- facing away from her and looking out the window.
Legolas? She asked, softly; her voice already choking. Will you please say something?....

Re: Celebration (cont.)"Anorista...." He sighed. "I want you to have the baby. I really do. But...did you really have to keep something like that from me? If I didn't want another kid...why would we be making love then? I knew it could happen. And I'm fine with it..and so are you. I don't mind it....I guess I was more shocked that you kept something like that from me...your husband...and yet the child knew before me. And then I get my head bit off my my own child! It hurts Anorista...please...tell me things. I don't like finding out this way..." Legolas finished. He still held his head in his hands, and stared out the window.

Re: Celebration (cont.)Legolas I didn't mean to hide anything from you, and that is NOT how I wanted you to find out. She said; her voice breaking and wobbling. I didn't know how you would react to the news.
And even after you knew, the reaction was not a joyous one as before -- you simply left the room! What was I supposed to think!?....And Legolîn....he is probably still upset about you speaking with his teacher. He is young and impulsive -- you have to give him time! It's a phase!.....
A few tears streamed down her face. She still stood behind him; her hand resting on her slightly puffed out stomach. Nothing could be felt yet, but she knew her other child was in there.

Re: Celebration (cont.)"I left for a reason meleth nin. I left because one...my son is angry at me. He's gone off somewhere...two..I could not believe you thought I would be angry with you about having a child. Believe me...I am joyious about the baby...but you are now crying because of my actions..and my son is angry becasue of my actions..." Legolas stood and finally faced her. His eyes were welled with teels, while his face was expressionless.
"Would you like time alone? Without me? I would be back before the baby is born...but would it make it easier for you and Legolîn?" Legolas sighed. It seemed as if the whole house was caving in on him, and he was being crushed. The prince walked over to her and knelt before her. He kissed her stomach, as a tear slid down his face slowly.
"Anorista...I love you...I love our family..always I will.." Legolas looked up to her; taking her hands into his larger ones.

Re: Celebration (cont.)
Anorista wrapped her arms around Legolas' neck and embraced him tightly. No Legolas, I need you more then ever!......
She nuzzled her nose and face into his neck and sweet golden hair. Please don't leave me now.....please? Her arms squeezed him tighter. Anorista did not want Legolas to feel like he was unappreciated. He was. Greately.

Legolas nodded and stood. He kissed her forehead ahd cupped her fae in his hands. "I won't leave if you don't want me to...but..I think You should talk to him. He left...and it's my fault. I..I sent him to his room...and he said that he did not have to listen to me...and then he left."
He sighed and sat down on the bed. He looked to the ground, with his hands resting on his knees.
