"So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."
Legolas looked at her. He frowned. Moving closer to her he cupped a cheek in his good hand and tilted it towards him. "Anoron...that kiss meant nothing. Please believe me...I don't want to loose you...I would have pushed her away and walked off had I both arms. Please love..." Legolas kissed her lips softly, then pulled away and looked to her with welled eyes. "I don't want to loose you...I do not love her...I do not...I tried to push her away..I really did....I did..."

Re: .: How It May End :.Legolas THAT's my point, She said, almost at wits end. You did not push her away when I found you!....Perhaps before then, you did, but WHY not when I saw you?! What made you stop resisting when I came in!?....I just....
She stopped her thought, closed her eyes and fell back onto the bed, staring up at the ceiling. Being here, is too hard. It's always something against us! It it's not a maiden, it's a male. If it's not Mirkwood against us, it'll be Minas Tirith -- I mean, WHEN is it ok for us to be together?!....I loathe this!....I just begin to wonder if everyone would be happier -- if Narwain and I went to Edoras, with OTHER humans....

SHe will not leave me alone...if I stay here she will not LEAVE ME alone. Anoron....." He looked down at her, and took her hand in his. "I share the same with you. I have no where to go...no where...please...I want to stay with you and my son..." Legolas laid down never to her, with hands hands still holding hers. HThe kiss was nothing. He did not resist because he knew he could not then. Had she not come, When that kiss broke, he would have cried for help, and tried to get away.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Anoron sighed. She gave Legolas' hands a gentle squeeze, before sitting back up again. I don't know what to do, Legolas.... She said quietly. Anoron really didn't. She could let him come, and be reminded of that pain for a few months, until it went away. Or she could leave alone, with Narwain, go to Edoras, and see Legolas only when he happened to be traveling by the city. She still loved him greatly. More that she loved anyone before.....but that had hurt. Cut deep.

Re: .: How It May End :."Anoron...I know it hurt...please...forgive me..I tried...but not enough to please you...that was all I wanted to do...I told her I was married...and I had a son...but she did nothing about it...she said she still loved me...but I did not love her. We defied all odds. I left home for you...I did all I could to he with you. She did not. I did not hear from her again until now...tht hurt me...she did not answer me...and I was almost to the point of fading....I don't want that to be us...I have done all I can to try to convince you..but you still do not believe me...I can see it."
Legolas sat up, and tried to get to his feet. "Do what you think is right...do what your heart tells you...even if..." He looked down and took a deep breath. "If it is not with me...but I will not garentee you shall see me again, should you choose to leave..." He was telling the truth. He would die of great grief, should she leave and take Narwain with her.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Anoron sighed. She looked to Legolas for a moment....then back to the ground. Narwain?.... She called. Are you finished with your bath?....We leave early tomorrow morn....
Her eyes trailed up to Legolas'. In her mind, Anoron believed this to be the best thing. At the moment, for both she and Narwain. He needed to interact with humans, instead of superior Elves. And Anoron...well...she needed time. Her eyes welled, just as Narwain stepped out.
He did not look pleased; more sad. Like he knew what was going on. Quietly, Narwain walked over to Legolas and hugged his leg, looking back to his mother.

Legolas took a deep breath and closed his eyes, holding abck the tears. He patted his son on the head and knelt down to his level. "Be good son...listen to Naneth....I will miss you greatly.." He hugged Narwain tightly. He would never see his son again. "Anoron..." He said. His eyes drifting up to hers. "Take care of yourself.and our son.." Slowly, Legolas stood and limped towards the door. It opened with a soft click, and he was gone. Legolas headed back to his room. Once there, He crashed onto teh bed and cried silently.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Anoron sighed as she watched Legolas leave. It was heartbreaking for her as well. Narwain looked to her sadly, almost resentfully. Narwain...I just...
But the child walked away. He went through the joining door and into his own room, slamming it. Anoron jumped slightly at the sound, then shook her head. Moving to her bed, she lay down and cried. Why did all this have to happen?! Why now?! Why to them!?

Narwain!?!? Anoron yelled. He did not answer. She'd searched his room and her own. Moving down and out into the hall, the mortal began to panic slightly. Storming in, she went to Legolas' room. He was a still asleep, but wasn't for long as she began searching his room and calling out for her son. Narwain!? Narwain!
He wasn't there. Beginning to cry and walking back into the hall -- she forgot Legolas was even in there, no doubt wondering what the hell was going on. Heading downstairs, she reached the gardens.
NARWAIN! She yelled. Anoron was upset. Her child was gone, and she didn't know where. She began to cry, and sat on the ground. Narwain!.... She called again through her tears. He was mad at her. Anoron knew it. But she didn't know if her son had run away, or if he'd been taken.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Legolas sat up abruptly. He frowned slightly as he heard Anoron cry out Narwain's name. The prince rolled to teh end of the bed, and got up. Reaching for his robe he slid it on and looked around. Their son was gone. "Narwain?!" He yelled. What had happened?! The child was missing, and none knew where he went. Limping down the hall Legolas searched for his son.
"Damn..." He cursed. Stil no sign of him. Finally he walled into the study. That was the last place left...save Cosette's room. Legolas prayed he was not there. He did not want to see the elf again. "Narwain?!" He cried. "Narwain this is NOT funny! Your mother is worried sick! Come out now!"

Re: .: How It May End :....Narwain!.... Anoron called one last time, still sitting on the ground. She was at a total loss and knew not what to do. Her son was gone, and she didn't know to where. He was angry with her for wanting to leave -- but she never thought this would happen. Or perhaps it wasn't Narwain's fault. Maybe he was taken.
She shuddered. Anoron didn't even want to bring in that possibility yet. Finally managing to stand, she headed back inside and to her room. She made a quick change. Tunic, coat, breeches, quiver, sword and boots. She was a ranger for Eru's sake. Tracking was one of her specialties. Anoron promised herself she would find Narwain or die trying.

Legolas put a hand on her shoulder lightly from behind her. When she turned around, he was dressed in his green hunting atire, his quiver and bow on his back, and his two white knives on his back. "You are not in this alone Anoron. I am going to help you find our son..rather you like it or not. My arm is beginning to get feeling. I'm going with you...or on my own to find our son." And without another word, Legolas walked back towards the door and out of her room. There was no WAY he would sit back and let this happen.
Legolas stopped and thought a moment. He had not checked with Cosette. He shivered but nonetheless went to the room of Cosette. He knocked on the door rather loudly. "Cosette!"

Re: .: How It May End :.
Cosette came out in her nightgown, and smiled when she saw Legolas. Well, back for more? She asked seductively. Her hand dripped down to Legolas' thigh.
Anoron walked down the hall, glancing once at them, then brushing right by jealously; adjusting her sword. Cosette caught the glance and moved her hand from his muscular, lean thigh. What do you want then? I heard you shouting....and if you think I have your boy, your mistaken.

Legolas brushed her hand off. His eyes blazed. "I do not have time for games, Cosette. Have you seen him or not." Legolas looked around in her room, before looking back to her. "Do not twart me with games Cosette. I do not wish to see you again. What love as friendship I had for you is gone. WHat you have done is unforgiving. Good day Miss Cosette.." And with that Legolas began his way down the hall.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Anoron was already outside, taking off down the path. After a moment, before getting into deeper woods -- there was a fork in the path. Going left and right. Sighing, she took the left, knowing Legolas would probably take the right.
Her worried were growing. What if they didn't find him? What if he was gone for good? Or hurt somewhere?....Or lost?
Meanwhile, Narwain sat in a tree; his feet dangling there, thinking about his parents. If she didn't find him, they couldn't leave. He had taken to the right of the path, and was sitting on a broad branch. Narwain made a promise to stay here until they worked everything out.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Legolas hobbled down the path to the right. "Narwain?!" Legolas continued to down the path. No doubt she took the left. He could see the faint prints of her. "Narwain come out son...Narwain?!" Legolas looked around the woods. In the trees and around the broughs. It was then he saw him. Narwainw as sitting high up in a tree.
"Narwain! Thank Eru you are safe. Come down son...your mother is worried sick about you..."

Re: .: How It May End :.No! Narwain called down stubbornly. I won't. Not until Naneth promises NOT to leave! I don't want to go! I want to see you, I want to stay with you! I want you to go back to loving each other! He crossed his arms and pouted angrily. He was not going to give in this time. He was old enough to know that should he go to Edoras with Anoron, he would probably not see Legolas for a very long time.
Re: .: How It May End :.
Legolas frowned. Already he was being stubborn as Legolas. "Narwain...Naneth is looking for you. She is worried sick about you. Come down and perhaps we can talk this out. You know I can not climb up after you...or I would. Now COME DOWN." Already he was becoming fustrated. He did not want to leave his son up in the tree alone. Who knows what could happen to him, and he would be held responsible..and unable to forgive himself.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Narwain began to get angry. NO! I won't ada! You can't make me! You and Naneth don't care anymore! So neither do I! I'll stay up here till I waste away to nothing! I won't come down and leave! You don't know! I don't want one parent, I want TWO! You and Naneth! Not one, OR the other! BOTH!
Re: .: How It May End :.
In turn Legolas became both angry, and ashamed. His son was right. Both were at fault. "Narwain...I DO care. This hurts me as much as it does you..." He sighed. "Wait here...don't move.." And with that the elf hobbled off in search of Anoron.
"Anoron!" Legolas cried. "Anoron come quick! I found him! He sits in a tree on the right path..and refuses to come down.." Legolas looked around, hoping to find her. This needed to get sorted out.

Re: .: How It May End :.
Narwain heard his father begin to shout. That didn't please him at all. He knew Anoron would then climb up to get him. Quickly and expertly, Narwain climbed from limb to limb, until reaching different trees. Ones with mores leaves. He did not want to be taken home, because that would mean he would have to leave.
Anoron heard Legolas' shouts and ran towards him a he told her the news.
