Re: How it Began
"You think I don't know that?! I do...I have thought about this for MONTHS. MONTHS! It has tortured me...even though it was a day..." Legolas walked over to her and took her hands. "I do not speak false feelings. Yes it is looked down upon...but it is how I feel...I can not stop it..I worry for you...the child. WHenI have a child...I wanted to spend all of my days with the child, be a father to them. Be there. Would you have our child go through seeing his father only sometimes?!"

His eyes were deep with concern. Hurt. "I love the unborn child within your belly. I love you...rather you believe me or not..." Legolas paced a hand on her bulging belly. His oen icy blue eyes looked into hers.

Re: How it Began
Anoron sighed. M'lord, please understand....I do not know you. Though you may love me, at the moment, I have not the same feelings for you. Perhaps in time, spending together and raising this child, I shall love you....

Her eyes drifted from his, to the floor, then back to him.

I am sorry m'lord. She said sadly. I should have resisted. I should have protected myself more affectively. But you must understand.... She said, giving a small chuckle. It's not oft I attract Immortals.....such beautiful ones at that....

A blush came to her cheeks.

Re: How it Began
Legolas lifted his hurt blue eyes to hers. Why did this...hurt? Being rejected..? "I...understand..." He said. When in truth, he half did not understand. Sighing, he removed his hand and looked into her eyes. "I should go....I'm sure you are tired...and wish to sleep in peace..." Turning, the elf walked out of her room slowly and closed the door behind him.

Into his room he went, and the door closed behind him. Legolas plopped down into his chair at his desk. The candle burned brightly. He began to write. It was not often he would write his feeling down, but now...he needed to. His eyes welled slightly as the thought that this might not work came to thought.

Re: How it Began
Anoron sighed and watched him go. The hurt in his eyes was evident. But she could not claim love falsely. She was sure Legolas was merely responding out of guilt. Perhaps he needed to believe they were in love, since they were going to be having a child. The Elf's love could not be that deep....otherwise, he would have insisted they spend more time together. But he left her to her room -- again; to face solitude.

Re: How it Began
Night came all too quickly for the prince. Already he stiped his legs of his breeches, and changed into a sleeping tunic. The candle still glowed, but not as bright as it had hours before. The moon light was blasting though the window. Legolas sighed. She seemed so...distant. Perhaps she was in shock of his claim of love to her. Perhaps he had spoke his feelings too soon. Well, either way, his child was going to be born soon, and he had to tell her, or convince her that he infact loved her.

He slid under the soft sheets, and nuzzled in his pillow. His hads cradled his head, and his eyes stared at teh celine.

Re: How it Began
A few times during the night, Anoron would walk to the door which would lead her to Legolas' chambers....but....she retracted. Not able to bring herself to go through it. Like she had thought before -- he was probably feeling guilty. He made no attempts to arrange to get to know her. Nor did he seem that interested. Perhaps these elves were only interested in making offspring. Or making love. She shook her head -- now she was being negative. Just as bad as the other humans, and their opinion on Elves.

Sighing, she walked to her balcony and stepped outside into the crisp night. Her hands rested on the cold cement railing. She wore a thin sleeping gown, though it was quite chilly out.

Re: How it Began
He could not stand it anymor. He needed to talk to her. Most likely she doubted he loved her. He had to show her. Rising, He grabbed his breeches againa dns slid them on, doing the cords loosely. Legolas took his dark green velvet robe and slid it on. Should he take the secret door? It would be safer. But what if she was dressing? Sughing, he walked to the secret door and put an ear to it. Nothing. A long slender hand rasped the door knob, and turned it. Slowly, He opened the door.

She was not in her chambers. Where was she? It was then he saw her on teh balcony. Wasn't she cold? The nights got colder in the winter..and she had not a coat or robe on. Light steps lead him to her from behind. "Forgive my earlier reactions...Anoron...I was nervous about yours towards me. I felt...afraid to tell you..and when you told me that you had not felt the same yet...I lost hope. Forgive me...I was wrong to do such to you..I promise you make it up to you...spend more time with you..I really want to know you...know you more..." Legolas took off his robe, and draped it over her shoulders. She looked cold, and the air was chilled.

Re: How it Began
Anoron welcomed the warm robe around her shoulders, but gave a small breathy laugh. You don't want to know me....Her eyes turned back to his. I'm a human. A ranger. Salt of the earth. You should have better luck with some elven maiden, schooled well and high in blood.

Her hand aimlessly drifted over her stomach. Eyes sparkling at the knowledge it would soon be gone, and a baby she would hold her in her arms. I don't want to put you out of your way, m'lord. This baby was not meant to be -- for both of us were unconscious of what we were doing at the time. Not that I'm saying I do not want the child....I do....greatly. For it is a part of me.

Re: How it Began
Legolas frowned and put a hand on ehr shoulder. "Why do you associate me with my kin? I do not think that about you...I never have...and never will." He tilted her head to look into his eyes. "Do you know HOW many maidens want to bed me? Bed me then brag to their friends? Too many. If anyone...I am lad it WAS you. Someone who is not like them? I meant what I said. I still do. I have feels for you Anoron...and I wnat to spend as much time as I can with you. I am not some perverte elf with a mind of sex. I ould not have wanted this to happen...but it did...and now that my own child..who grows in your belly is part of me...I would never rob it of fatherly love...."

He kissed her cheek. "As you said...perhaps in to you will love me..as I have you..."

Re: How it Began
Anoron sighed and slowly slid her hands around Legolas' neck. I thank you, m'lord....for your kind words and open heart. Most would no accept the situation. I came here, prepared to be turned away. You have every right to be upset, but your not. It says a lot about who you are....

Gently the baby kicked in her stomach, which rested against Legolas' own stomach. No doubt he would feel the vibration. It made her smile....when the baby kicked. A little reminder that what was inside her -- was certainly alive. Kicking. Moving. Living. Soon to come into the world.

Re: How it Began
Legolas smiled as he felt the child kick from with Anoron's stomach. Again he kissed her on the cheek, and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Does this mean you will give me the chance to love a mortal?" His face was inches from hers, and the elf pulled her closer yet, the baby he felt, but the eyes he gazed into enchanted him.

The smile upon the prince's face never leaving.

Re: How it Began
Anoron gave a small smile. The chance is always there, m'lord. But choices arise with chances....and it's the choices we need to make, before taking the chance. Her hands ran down to her stomach, gently rubbing.

Re: How it Began
Legolas smiled and turned. There was still hope yet, and but a few months his son or daughter would be born. That thought warmed him. A child....part of him. Legolas follwed her back inside. He could not help take his eyes of the swollen belly. He was facinated with it. Once he caught step behind her, his strong arms wrapped around her and his hands rested on her stomach.

Tha baby gave another small kick. He smiled and Legolas kissed her cheek, This could work yet...no one had to know just yet that this child was his, and that he planned to stay with her and the child.,

Re: How it Began
Slowly she turned and smiled at Legolas... But it didn't last long. A small gasp and whine escaped her lips as she staggered her way to the bed. Pain, in her stomach. She began to breath in and out heavily. Her eyes moved to the Prince who stood there -- looking at her with grave concern. She gave a small laugh, trying to give off a stronger look.

Labor pains.... Anoron told him, with a breathy laugh. ....They happen every so often.....

Re: How it Began
Legolas immediately went to her side. He arched a brow and sat beside her. He looked at ehr concerned. "Are you going to be alright? is there anything I can do?" Legolas to Anoron's hand in his larger one and kissed it. The prince was worried about her. He moved closer, and wrapped his arm around her wasit. Rubbing the side of the bulge of ehr stomach.

Re: How it Began
No...it's all right m'lord..... She said, her eyes closed in pain; breathing and holding her stomach. Legolas' body beside hers felt very comforting. She'd had to edure this alone for so long. Being kept in this room without company. Normally no one was here to comfort or support her. But this felt good. Anoron knew the child would need a male influence in it's life.....and she would need support. Perhaps she could finally open her heart to him. She'd kept it closed. Afraid of what others would say. But she was quite taken with Legolas.

Re: How it Began
Legolas chuckled. "Legolas...you need not call me m'lord. Call me Legolas...and I will remind you everytime you get it wrong. I can't have someone that I plan on staying with continue to call me m'lord all the time!" He lauged. "Imagine someone calling you m'lady all the time...it would get on your nerves would it not?"

Again Legolas kissed her cheek. "I don't want you to feel inferior to me...I want you to feel as my equal..for ou are...we are both living creatures...I don't ever what you to feel that I am above you...because I am not.."

Re: How it Began
Anoron gave a breathy smile and waited. Soon, the pain was over. All that was left was the gentle kicking of the baby. Her eyes opened, to see those sparkling blue ones of Legolas, looking to her, and waiting for her to speak.

Thank you, Legolas.... She said, sitting up a little straighter. It's much easier when someone is here with me....

Though she didn't say it, she meant for everything -- not just labor pains. Anoron knew it would be much easier for a lot of things.

Re: How it Began
Legolas smiled and nodded. "Of course...it is my pleasure...truely a pleasure." Unable to resist the urge anymore, Legolas leaned down and put an ear to Anoron's belly. He smiled as the baby moved and kicked. It lived.

Then, the prince lifted his head and gazed at her. Affectionately. taking her hands, He leaned in and kissed has softly on the lips, afraid of her reaction to it..

Re: How it Began
Anoron did not retract from his kiss. She stared at him, head tilted slighty, an odd smile on her lips. Those....are the lips I remember.... She said warmly. If I remember anything from that night. 'Tis your taste.

A blush came to her cheeks. There is something I wish to ask of you, Legolas. Take me outside. I long to walk through nature again. Smell the trees and fresh air. For almost a month, I have been kept in this room....

Her hand gently rested on his knee.
