"So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."
Legolas frowned and his eyes went cold. "Very well. So be it. And when Mordecai is caught, then you will be set free." He said in a bitter voice. And he thought she was unlke them. Unlike most men. It appeared not. It was about her, nothing more. Siging he walked away from her and climbed a tree.
At the moment he did not want to be near her. He was starting to dislike her, either that or her adittude. So in the tree the elf kept the watch. He would not have to seee her until morning. No doubt she would not care.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron watched calmly as the Elf scampered away, obviously hurt and unsatisfied with her reply. It didn't matter. She had her reasons for distrust of Elves -- after being taken by Mordecai. Her hand drifted to her forarm at the thought. Pushing back her dark clothing, she exposed her bare skin. On the smooth of her arm, was a scar; a line. Mordecai had cut her after he'd taken advantage of her. In his words, 'a brand; to remember who you belong to.'
She would never forget that, nor was she about to let him get away with it. Anoron was not his. She wanted revenge.
Standing, she began to pace back and forth. High and mighty Elves?! -- she knew their real worth. Most of them don't give a spit about humans. Do what they please. Never again would she let that happen.
Grabbing her bow, she began to mildly practise....trying to blow off steam. She shot a few arrows into the tree before her, and then retrieved them. She did the same thing repeatedly.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Hearing the sound or arrows Legolas shot up and looked around, but only saw Anoron practicing with her bow. SHe was not as good as him, but not bad for a human. Sighing the elf leapt from the tree and walked over to her. "If you keep doing that, you are going to gain attention." He said annoyed.
He looked to the arrows in the tree. Some were in the center, and some away from it. Legolas shook his head. "Either you don't care where you shoot, or you don't know the proper way to aim an arrow at long distances. Do you want me to show you?"

Re: Bleeding HeartSure.... She said, looking to him strongly. But drop the condescending attitude. I don't like this any better than you, but if we're going to find this Elf, we need to work together. I was just being honest. She finished. After all, she was. If the situation was the other way around, no doubt Legolas would be doing the same thing.
He began to walk over to her, and she waited for some instruction.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas rolled his eyes slightly. "Why do you think I was trying to be affable to you?" Walking over to her he pulled an arrow out of his quiver and notched it to his long bow. "When you aim at a distance, always aim higher then your target It falls as it goes farther and father." Aiming for the center, he pulled back the bow gave a might twang! Crack! The arrow spilt hers.
"You try."

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron watched. Taking out her own arrow, she notched, and tried it. The arrow soared, and split Legolas' arrow -- but not well. Just barely. She was surprised it didn't fall down after splitting it. She sighed. Close enough.... She mumbled to herself.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas nodded. "Aye..but better then you other shots. " And he turned. "Rest well Lady Anoron." The elf walked back to the tree he was in, and took his spot once more. Keeping watch was his jo right now, and he would do it. Often he thought of her, his father, and this Mordecai.
Silently he Legolas humed a sad tune, then his silvery elven voice came. It was low, and in his own tongue.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron watched the Elf retreat back into his tree. Just like an Elf to be moody and uptight. She wondered if they ever had any fun. Sighing, she sat down once more and listened to his soft Elven voice flow. She wondered if he had children, or a family. They hadn't exactly spoken of anything personal, and she got the feeling they wouldn't either.
He was certainly not a bad looking Elf. Despite her distrust for the race. She lay down, taking off her coat, and using it as a pillow. Anoron soon closed her eyes to rest.

Re: Bleeding Heart
he sun peaked it's head through the trees and dappeled the forest floor with rays of sunlight. A slight breeze russled the leaves of greave and gold, illuminating them. Legolas streched his back and stiff muscles and looked around. All was well as of yet, and so he leapt down quietly and walked to wher Anoron lay.
Crouching down beside her he smiled slightly. He did not have the heart to wake her. Standing again he walked to the stream, a ways from her, and thought a soothing bath would be most deserving. The elf stripped himself of his clothes and weapons and walked into the col, and suprisingly deep stream. A rather unfair thing to call it a stream, for it was wider, and deeper.
Legolas sighed and relaxed in the water, and bathed.

Re: Bleeding Heart
As her sleepy eyes slowly opened, Anoron saw some movement in the stream. At first she was rather alarmed and sat up -- but the smooth skinned back and blonde cascading hair stopped her worries. The Elf was bathing.
A small smile came to her lips. They certainly were beautiful, magestic creatures. Glancing over, she noticed his clothes a few feet from her, while he was a little further down. As she moved to sit up more comfortably, the Elf's keen ears picked up her movement, and he turned.
Their eyes met. The water still covered him from the waist down, but her green orbs watched the clear water roll down his muscled, lean torso. Both stayed still for a moment, nether one moving.
Not embarrassed, are you? She asked, raising a brow.

He arched a brow as well. "Embarrased? No." He said with much pride. Elves held pride...a great deal of it. Legolas ran his fingers htrough hiw wet hair and continued to stare at her. He took a deep breath and held her gaze, until he looked down and blushed slightly. "I am not that embarassed...." He said quietly, which to some point, he was not.
Nodding to her he smiled slightly and stretched. "The water is cool. You might wnat to relieve some of the tension in the steam before we leave. Now, will you hand me my clothes? Or if YOU are too embarassed, then turn so I might dress."

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron paused for a moment, before standing. She would not let an Elf intimidate, nor make her blush. She'd seen Men bare before....but then again, Elves were more fair. Certainly pleasing to the eye.
Walking to him, she scooped up his clothes, and upon reaching the spot where the Prince bathed, rested them down on the bank. With another glance of him up and down, she walked back down the stream, until coming to another section. There was no reason not to take heed to his words. Washing may relieve some tension.
Taking off her coat, Anoron tossed it to the ground. Her hands moved to her tunic, and she began to undress. The material fell from her bare shoulders as she faced away from the Elf -- somewhat even forgetting he was even there.
Once her shirt was off, she undid her breeches and slipped them on. Slowly, she descended into the cool water; which made her intake a sharp breath. But, having bathed in cool waters before, it did not take her long to get used to.
She dipped her dark curls back into the water, and exhaled slowly. This was relaxing.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas watched her, in a slihtly awe state. But when he found he was staring, he quickly looked away and grabbed his cloak. As he got out of the stream, he wrapped the cloak around his bare and damp body. His hand dripped with the water, and he dried himself off. Legolas dressed and could not help sneak a glance at her.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Standing from the water, Anoron allowed it to roll down her smooth skin. The water came up to her navel, so her upper torso was exposed -- though she still faced away from Legolas. She ran a hand through her now wavy wet hair and closed her eyes. It was more relaxing than she thought it would be. Cupping some water into her hands, she braught it to her lips and drank of it.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas smiled and walked to a tree once changed and sat under it. The cool breeze felt good against his skin, and he pulled the cloak over him and fell into a light sleep, but his eyes did not close. Nay, they were open, and his senses still alert, while his mind rested and regained engery.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron turned only slightly, to see where Legolas had gone. He was resting against the tree. She figured he was sleeping -- since he didn't move for a long time. And she'd heard they sleep with their eyes open.
Seeing no real reason to shy away if he was asleep, Anoron stood and got out of the water. Going to the bank, she began to dress again; pulling on her breeches before anything else.
She gave a long stretch; slender form sillouetted against the morning streams of light. Her shirt, tunic, and coat lay forgotten on the ground for the briefest of moments. The wind felt amazing on her bare skin, and it helped dry her upper torso.

Re: Bleeding Heart
The sound of plashing water woke him up, and his eyes looked around. There he saw Anoron, bare. Blushing slightly he loked away and pulled the cloak more about himself. The elf sighed and losed his eyes. he could not do this. No temptation. SHe was beautiful for a woman, but it was frowned on to fall inlove with a mortal.
He would he shamed. But if it WAS love...wouldn't be? No matter, she would never fall in love, and nor would he. Straightening up and looked at her again. Trying to ignore it, and remaind the proud elf.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Slight movement of Legolas sitting up caught Anoron's attention. She reached for her shirt and tunic quickly, and pulled them on. He said nothing of warning to her that he was awake -- otherwise, she would not have stood, embracing the wind with her bare upper torso. After pulling on her dark, long ranger jacket as well, Anoron straightened up proudly.
He was probably only looking at her to compare the beauty of Elven maidens to humans. He would no doubt go home when this was all over, and tell those like him about the imperfections of mortals.
Sighing, she picked up her things and looked over to where he sat. Ready? She called, not wanting to waste anymore time.

Re: Bleeding Heart
"Aye..." He said and Legolas stood. Gathering his weapons and fastening his cloak again. His light steps broght him to her again and he smiled slightly. "You look refreshed. You look beter at ease then unnerved...." Nodding to her, Legolas began down the side of the stream. They were nearing their first encounter with a spider web.
The trees were covered with webs, and the air was close. Legolas tok out his bow and notched an arrow to it, to be safe.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron followed behind Legolas, knowing he knew his way around the wood better than she. Her sword was drawn and ready, since she was more skilled with a blade. They crept along, keeping quiet as the webs gently blew all around them eerily. Low grumbling noises were heard every so often. Anoron didn't know if it was the trees, or something else.
Yet she bumped into Legolas back as he suddenly stop. The collision did not effect his stance. Looking past his shoulder, they saw what looked like a caved entrance. Beyond it, and going around the cave, was a narrow path. Tracks of feet looked fresh, from what she could tell. Elven prints.
