There are other forces at work in this world Frodo besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."
Legolas tightened his grip on his bow ane walked in. Behind him was Anoron. When he looked around he could see skulls and footprints. Legolas was sure to keep quiet in here. The distant sound of movement caught his keen and acute ears. Turning to her he whisered...

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron stayed silent, yet pointed to Legolas the fresh elven prints she saw. They lead around the cavan.... She whispered back. I'm willing to bet, it's there....
Yet neither one moved, for a low grumbling was heard from the cavan. Her eyes widened, as one long furry dark leg was pushed through the entrance. Another followed, and two more. They were large; taller than the both of them. The many eyes of the spider began to shine; reflecting the light from within the cave.
Legolas kept his bow up, ready to fire. But that's not was concerned Anoron. Looking up, she spotted a few other spiders, slowly descending down from the tree tops. Anoron tugged on Legolas' shirt, getting him to look up. The spiders were smaller. In size, about up to their knees. Still, any spider was bad -- especially since Anoron hated them to begin with.
There are too many.... She whispered, unmoving. We cannot fight them now......we should retreat from this perilous spot.....quickly.....

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas looked at them all. "It will do no good...they will chase us down and kill us....run.." ANd as he spoke those words, the spiders charged and rushed at the. "Go!" ANd the arrow fired--landing in the center of the head of one of the spiders. Putting his bow away he drew his two knives and slashed at a spider that leapt at them.

Re: Bleeding HeartGo?! She repeated. Not bloody likely! She yelled, slashing with her own sword at an oncoming spider. Though she was scared, she was not about to leave Legolas alone to perish. The spiders had great agility and jumped around expertly, causing Anoron to stay on great edge.
One spider managed to slice her across the neck with one of it's legs. It was a small, long cut, and did nothing more than sting. Anoron killed the spider -- but began to feel a little light headed. Still, she kept going.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas hacked another leg off, and stabbed another watching eye. But the prince saw the spider cut her and frowned. He knew the deadliness of the spiders, and the toxics they held. He had to get her out. Anoron would die if the amount of poison settled. "You will go!"
Grabbing her he pushed his way through them and there was enough to get her out. Legolas took her sword and gaver her his. pushing her out of the cave he stabbed the spider that leapt at her. The elf winced as a spider clawed at his back and anyhting they could her. Running out himself he sheathed her sword in the scabbard at her side and lifted her up.
"Stay awake......stay awake." He called to her. Legolas ran as fast as his legs could carry him. They came to a clearing...
Legolas laid her down and tilted her head exposing the wound. putting his lips to the wound he sucked on it, drawing out the poison, and spitting in on the ground. He repeated this prcess many times, until the posion was gone.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron slowly opened her eyes. She felt lips on her neck, sucking. It startled her at first, until she saw Legolas pull back, spit out, and begin to suck again. I'm all right.... She said. He'd gotten most of the poison out.
She sat up, a little weary, but alive. She looked around her. They were in a clearing. Looking to Legolas she frowned. Are you all right?....

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas sat back and nodded. "Ill be fine. But I have to watch you. Though I got most of teh posion out...you still may feel the symptoms...." He pressed a hand to her forehead. He was quite concerned for her. All thoughts of being stiff towards her were forgotten, and worries filled him. His back stung, but he paid no hed to it.
Looking to the caves again he began to ponder a way to get through.

Re: Bleeding Heart
As he turned to look back from their escape, she noticed his torn shirt and tunic. Legolas had been cut as well. Your hurt... She said. Moving behind him, she pushed him to the forest floor, face down. Don't be stubborn, and stay still.... She told him.
Anoron lifted up his shirt to expose his bare back. It was a lengthy scratch, but not that deep. Putting her mouth to his back, she began to suck, spit, and repeat it, all along the scratch.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas wince at first, then relaxed into the ground. Her lips felt....undefinible on his abck. A strange feel, he could not describe, but tried to ignore the feeling that was climbing up his spine. When she finished He sat up and pulled his tunic back down. "Thank you..." He looked away as his cheeks flushed and the tips of his pointed ears turned red..
Legolas looked back to her and smiled slightly. "I sincerely want to thank you...and if it doesn't mean anything to you...it does to me. So I wanted to say thank you Lady Anoron." The elf cast his eyes to the ground.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron gave a small nod. Your welcome.... She said, casting her eyes away as well. She stood, and looked back to where they had come out of. She knew it was too dangerous. Not by themselves. We should come back another time.... She said to him. With more help.
Oh, and ruin the fun?... A voice said.
Both Elf and Human turned to see three Elves. One ahead of the other two who stood behind him. Legolas looked around wildly, as a few other Elves began to appear from the shadowed woods.
Anoron, however, kept her gaze ahead -- right at the arrogant Elf with a smirk on his lips.
Mordecai... She growled.
He gave a chuckle. Anoron....how are you? How's your arm?...
She went to lunge towards him, but Legolas stopped her, and held her back.

Legolas held her behind him and looked aroun at teh other elves. They were sorely out numbered. He turned back to Mordecai and frowned. His eyes narrowed in loathe. "Mordecai...we met at last... " He looked aorund at teh other elves. it unnerved him, and somehow he had a feeling that she knew him. "And should you lay a hand on her, I will wring your neck." He retorted coldly.

Re: Bleeding HeartAh, Mordecai said, taking a few steps closer. But many hands, already, have I lain upon that beauty.
He raised a brow. Haven't told him about your arm, then? He asked arrogantly.
Anoron growled and said nothing. He simply laughed. I suppose not then, hm? Still soured on Elves, aren't you. Well, with good reason. After all, would have done what I did.
He began to pace slightly, in front of the pair.
Now, I'm willing to let you both live... He said. Provided you leave Mirkwood, so I can finish what I've decided to do. I can't have you both ruining it. Your little rangers already tried.....and failed, thankfully, since you were outnumbered.
Looking to them both he sneered. And if you don't leave, I shall be forced to take your lives into my own hands. His eyebrow raised as he looked to Anoron greedily. As well as....other, aspects of you.

Re: Bleeding Heart"You'll go to hell!" He hissed at him. His hand gripped hers a bit tighter. "She has nothing to do with this...you'll leave her be. I am the one who wanted to speak with you..." He searched for the right thing to say. "I'm the one who wanted to speak with her. She...she is not of our concern. Say you we talk through this privately? Or shall we settle this another way."
But he realized that he would not settle this like he hoped. Mordecai only sneered. and laughed. "You are young and foolish, boy. That would NEVER happen. Besides...Anoron misses me too much..."
Legolas growled. "She would never want a beast like you. If you-"
"Shut up boy!" And a cold hard hand smacked the prince across the face. "He needs manners my lord!"

Re: Bleeding HeartStop it! She said, taking a stand in front of Legolas and before Mordecai. He had nothing to do with this!....I am the one who ordered the attack on Mirkwood to find you! I am the one who saught revenge; needing to stop you.
Mordecai stiffened slightly and looked to her angrily. Is that so....
With a mere glance to his men, they grabbed Legolas and began to drag him off. Take him back to the central city.
One Elf knocked the Prince unconscious. As Anoron went to move, Mordecai grabbed her arm. Oh no....you'll stay here for a bit, Anoron. I need to make sure you'll stay away. And believe me, you will....
-------------------------
Three hours later, it was late afternoon. The sky was pink and orange, fading to dark purple. From the brush and forestry, a slender figure appeared. Anoron.
She was alone, her head slightly hung -- her eyes filled with sorrow, anger, embarrassment, and guilt. But her thoughts drew to the safety of the Prince, and not of her own. Her thighs were sore, and Mordecai's lips had branded her neck.
Walking to the armory, she snuck to the back door again. Picking it as she did before, Anoron slipped into the back room of the shop and sat depleated on the ground, wincing slightly. She had promised herself, never to be taken again -- but alas, she had.
Well, she had to. Mordecai threatened to kill Legolas and Thranduil, should she leave and speak what she saw. Anoron, for some reason, felt great concern for Legolas.
So she did what she had to.
Relaxing back against the cement wall, Anoron sighed and tried to rest.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Darkness.....the bitter taste of blood in his mouth...the elf laid motionless on the cold cobble ground. His head spun like a storm. Slowly thought, the elf opened his eyes and winced from the pain. It hurt to see. As his eyes began to register his surroundings, the elf lifted a hand to his face and wiped away the blood. The memories of what had happened not long ago echoed in his mind.
Once the keen eyes of the pricne awoke, he looked around. He was where he had started. Between the armory and the prison. Anoron. Instant flashes of her passed through and and swriled around. Worry for her safety washed over him. He stood, a bit shaky at first, but nonetheless stood. He made his way to the armory. He knew tht Mordecai had been plotting to kill his father. He could never let such happen.
Legolas fisted a dagger in his boot, and a sword at his side. He meant to kill. He was aiming to kill Mordecai. Grabbing a shield from a table, he walked out of the shop and closed the door. As the great door closed, something caught his eye. A woman. Getting a better looke he walked around to see who ti was. Anoron.
The shield, that was silver and with engaved elven markings, felll to the ground forgotten. Legolas fell to his knees beside her and took her hand. "Anoron....Anoron what happened?" He said, and a dither in his voice was easily detectable. Anoron was bruised, and weary. What had happened?

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron sat up straight, and slightly shyed away from Legolas. Nothing....nothing, I'm all right.... She said nervously, bringing herself to stand. Uh, did you get reinforcements? To help?.... She asked.
She adjusted her clothing a little better and brushed the remaining curls away from her face. She looked to him proudly, not wanting to show how weak she actually felt. I suggest you not return there unless accompanied by many elven soldiers..

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas shook his head and stood as well. "Anoron...there have been so many deaths. Many are wounded. They would not be a match against the spiders and Mordecai. I am going alone. You can find a place to stay and rest...for you look tired." The prince took her hand, and kissed it. Lifting his head proudly, he nodded to Anoron. "Thank you for what you have done." And after speaking, Legolas picked up the shield he dropped, and headed back out into the woods.
Legolas began to walk through the woods again. Alone. He did not want to be the cause of more death and pain Many of the elves were wounded badly, or dead. They were in no state to rise even an elite force. And Mordecai knew it. Legoals continued on the path they took. He knew where to go now. even if he was going to die...he did not care anymore.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron had watched Legolas walk away, but her mind screamed. She couldn't let this happen. Suddenly, she bolted after him with all the speed she could gather. Finally, she saw him walking. He turned upon hearing her approached and looked to her oddly. But Anoron did not slow down.
She ran right into Legolas, tackling him to the ground and pinning him down. I shall NOT allow you to throw your life away! She said angrily, tears already forming in her eyes. Anoron didn't know why she should care so much about this Elf, but she did. We could not beat them together....and you will certainly not beat them alone.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Legolas landed with a thud as she tackled him. Confused, suprised, and concerned he looked down at her. "Anoron! For Eru's sake! Get off of me! Listen to me...I'm not throwing my life away. We did not beat them together because we were unprepared. I know at least what to expect now....go home and find some rest." And in saying so the elf pushed her off of him getly and sat up.
He was a bit taken aback that she would do such a thing. Tackle him?! Had she gone insane? He thought she didn't care about him...perhaps she did. No. SHe expressed that in the beginning. Getting to his feet, the prince picked up the fallen shield and brushed the leaved and dust off. "Anoron...I have to try. I can't let this happen to my father. He's old and already wounded. Being crammed in a room with walls falling can hurt someone. Just....there are plenty of homess that lay beyond the central city you can reside in. Get some rest..."
And the elf turned and begain to walk down the same path again. The path that would seal his fate.

Re: Bleeding Heart
Anoron would not be dismissed this time. Quickly, she grabbed the Elf's arm and pulled him back to her. You will NOT beat them! Mordecai has his own minions set up around the forest further on near their council! They'll pick you off without you even knowing they were there!......You can't do this, Legolas!
She stood in front of him, between he and the path which led deeper to his death. You are being a fool!...Open your eyes instead of your mouth for a moment, and think about WHAT your doing!
