"So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."
Legolas laughed merrily and ran after her. "I would be in trouble with your brother when he returns to find you wandering off." And Legolas lifted her up nad over his shoulder playfully. He carried Anoron back to where he was practicing his archery. He sat her down and pinned her. Grinning he leaned close to her. "Sensitive... eh?" And his eyes shimmered with mischieviousness.
He tickled her sides, which made her laugh. Grinning, he got off of her and sat down on the ground. "You've been away from elves too long, tithen aenil." He teased her as he pulled her into his lap. "I seem to recall a certain night that was rather touching. You came into my room seeking comfort. If your brother was there, no doubt you would go to him frist, but I am touched that you came to me. Itt takes a brave soul to admit that." And he smiled.

Re: The BondWell, I don't know too many elves here Legolas.... She said, rolling her eyes a bit. And I hardly think I'm close enough with any of them to crawl into bed when frightened.
She casually slid out of his lap. That was just too arousing. Though Anoron wasn't sure, Legolas was pretty affectionate this morning -- more than he'd ever been with her. Perhaps, he felt the same way? No. That was ridiculous. He was probably just being more open to her since Araduar wasn't around.

Legolas laughed and stood, gathering his arrows once more. Legolas was playing with her, teasing. Elves were passionate beings, and showed affection to friends. She was his closest, along with Araduar. When he was around, he would never be able to do such to her with getting whacked.
Laughing, he picked up his bow and waimed at the target again, keeping a sharp and and good concentration

Re: The Bond
As Legolas moved to shoot, Anoron's foot came into contact with the back of his knee -- causing him to jerk and the arrow to fly off in a wild direction. She laughed hystarically, The great archer prince missed his target! Not only in archery, but in LOVE also -- for like the stray arrow, he twirls about before crashing down! She yelled, going to her feet and running.
What she said was slightly cruel -- Anoron knew that. Though it could be taken as offence, she was merely throwing him off. Arrogance always worked well.

Re: The Bond
Legolas frowned and was a bit hurt by her words. Stand straight, he arched a brow. "And like the arrow your words pierce me in the heart." He said somewhat coldly. And without saying another work, he gathered his arrows and quiver and slung it over his shoulder. "I have not spiraled down in love, Anoron. I don't know if you mean those words or not..but thy were cruel poisoned like a tipped arrow. Stabbing me."
"Your brother will be home soon, perhaps an hour or two. Good day, Lady Anoron." Nodding to her, he walked back to his room.

Re: The BondLegolas.... She called, but he didn't turn. He just continued walking, until he was swallowed by the forest. She sighed. Anoron hadn't meant to hurt his feelings, or for her words to be that harsh, but 'tis how they sounded. Now she felt bad.
Slowly, Anoron made her way back to Thranduil's home as well. Yet upon reaching the front of the home, she found her brother returning. Early, she ran to his horse to see if anything was wrong. He merely smiled and said that both of them had to make way to Rivendell -- being called by Lord Elrond. They were to leave at once.
Nodding, she left Araduar to go get her horse ready while she packed her things. It was a quick job; basically throwing everything back into her pack. Glancing to the bed, she saw a few of Legolas' mother's dresses. She sighed, remembering that night. She would not forget it.
Knowing it was impolite to leave without giving word to the host, Anoron gathered up her courage and opened Legolas' door a crack. He was sitting at the desk and turned when hearing her.....but when he saw who it was he, merely nodded vagely, and continued on with his work.
I apologize for disturbing you, Thranduilion. But my brother and I offer our farewells. We are both leaving for Rivendell, having gotten word from Elrond. Your hospitality was generous....as always. I'm sorry if I said anything which upset you. You know how careless humans can be.... The last part was intended as a joke, but Legolas did not turn around. Anoron's smile faded as she realized he wasn't laughing.
She sighed. Again, I'm sorry to disturb you. But my apologies are laid out before you. Farewell.... Anoron mumbled.
Adjusting her pack on her shoulder, Anoron left his room and pattered down the hall and stairs quickly. That didn't go as planned -- perhaps this time she had gone too far.
When reaching Araduar, he asked if everything was alright. She responded with a nod.
Where is Legolas?.....Isn't he coming to see us off? Araduar asked.
Anoron shook her head a little bit. I told him we were leaving and offered farewell from the both of us. I think he is preoccupied at the moment.....still, we'll send him word from Rivendell letting him know we arrived safely.

Re: The Bond
When she left, and he was sure she was down the hall, Legolas rose from the chair reaching in the drawyer of the desk, he took out a box with a necklace, that had an emrald gem inside the silver vines. Also, the elf took out a slim dagger with a silver hander that had the designs of leaves and vines Thesed he had intended to give them, and he still would, despite what Anoron had said.
Legolas closed the drawyer and left his room, down the hall,a nd out the doors, seeing them readying to leave. No smile did he bear. It was more a face of emotionless. He walked over to them and turned first to Araduar. "This I had meant to give you on our next meeting. A daggar clean and sharp, so may you remember the woods of your friend." He patted him on the shoulder, then, he turned to Anoron.
"And for you, Tithen aenil, I give you this." And he handed her the box. "It matches your eyes, and may you carry the heart of the woods with you. I wish you both a safe jouney to Imladris. Namar..." He said backing away slightly, and clasping his hands together before him. He was still hurt by her words, but they could not be taken back, for Legolas knew there was some truth in them. Legoals had many woman he thought he loved, but it never lasted. Her were rang true, perhaps that was more what stabbed him than anything else.

Re: The Bond
Anoron nodded slowly and swung onto her horse. She had nothing else to offer him but what she'd already gave. Her apologies. Yet Elves were prideful, and known to hold grudges. She couldn't blame Legolas.
Araduar gave a confused smile to Legolas, not sure what had soured the prince so. Normally he would have embraced both he and Anoron -- yet now, it was more like common aquaintence. Perhaps an off day. Nodding in farewell, Araduar reared his horse around with his sister in tow -- and both headed off to Imladris.
Is there something you wish to tell me, sister?..... Araduar asked knowingly; Anoron was quiet.

Re: The Bond
Since the sorrowful departure of Anoron and Araduar. things had gone ill and many days have come to pass. The the powerful insistance by the Lord of Mirkwood, Thranduil, Legolas was forced to date and find a wife. Thranduil had her ready for him. Legolas smiled slightly, and took her hand; kissing it. She was beautiful and lovely, but her heart was as black as the sleekest coal and her he soul bitter as a winter's frostbite. She name was Athair. Athair would vilify men and wear them them until they were broken, then dumped them and moved onto another guy. The min reasons she ever dated who she did was for many things, but none so much as money and sex. Had Legolas known all of ths about her, he would have never had dated her.
Athair bragged to her 'friends', who were like little clones of Athair and loved her little scheme. She was dating the prince, but she was not serious about it, while Legolas was. They laughed. After she had gotten what she wanted and bruised his soul, she would dump him. Perfect.
Weeks went by and Legolas began to change drastically. Athair's little scheme was working its magic on the prince's soul, for it was on the verge of breaking down. Many times Legolas sought to find what he was doing wrong. He was treating her kind, but she still beat him. Athair beated him when he didn't do something that plased her.Bruises were about him, but Legolas ignored them. When Athair slapped, smacked, hit, or push him, her long nails would dig into his skin, drawing blood. Legolas soon became afraid of this, and believed that he did something wrong and should be punished. It was not rare she beat him, but she would slap him in the public's eyes at times
Legolas needed to get away from her, and his father suggested he go see Araduar and Anoron. It had been some time since he had seen them, and he missed her. He had forgotten all about what happened the day they left. And so, Legolas before Athair could protest, he took off to Imladris, when he arrived, the gates welcomed him and he dis mounted..

Re: The BondPrinceling! A loud voice boomed. Suddenly, Legolas was tackled to the ground by a laughing man. Araduar. Smiling, he stood. Your loosing your skill, elf. He said, giving Legolas a hand and helping him up. Good tidings bring you from Mirkwood I assume! And with that, he embraced the elf who was like a brother.
Though Araduar couldn't be sure, he thought he felt Legolas hug him a little tighter than usual. A little longer as well. This worried him as he pulled back. Does something ail or trouble you, Greenleaf?
Legolas smiled. It was so good to see a familiar face. "No...I am just glad to see you once more. I have missed you and Anoron so much. How are you?" He asked Araduar as he let go of him and looked into his eyes.
What he did not know, that Athair was on her way to Rivendell as well. With all speed she rode to Rivendell.

Re: The Bond
At the mention of Anoron's name, Araduar's smile lessened only for an insant; remember what she'd told him upon riding to Imladris so many weeks ago.
As well as one can be while in the midst of such a beautiful city like Imladris. The elves are generous, though I daresay, perfer the company of my sister. They dote upon her and think highly of her. I believe she sits somewhere around the gardens with one of the twins.... He said with a nod. The 'twins' were sons of Elrond; Elladan and Elrohir. Though Araduar always got them mixed up -- while Anoron never did. He envied that about her. She was so in commune with these elves; they were drawn to her and she to them.
There, Anoron sat in the sun with the eldest of the twins, Elladan. They spoke of song and lore; laughing most of the afternoon as he regailed her with tell of his latest pranks on Elrohir or her brother. She smiled warmly to him. The lads always competed with each other, where she was neutral; never pranks played on her, for they all seemed to dote upon Anoron like she was frail. Though on occasion, she would get in the occasional wrestling match with her brother and the twins. Always great fun.
Picking a flower, Elladan handed it to Anoron in a formal way. She laughed and took it, blushing a bit. These elves were all gentlemen, and polite to her.....though in her heart, Anoron still yerned for Legolas. She wanted him, and thougt of him oft. But he was in Mirkwood, and upset with her.
Anoron knew she must force herself to like different people. Open up more. Perhaps one of the twins.

Re: The Bond
Legolas nodded to him and thanked him. "It does me good to see you...I almost forgot what it was like.." He said softly as he put his horse away. There were so many gardens in Inladris, perhaps he would get lucky and find her right off, but hat idea was foiled as the task became a little more harder.
Finally he found her, and not alone. One of his other friends, the twin brother of Elrohir was with her. He smiled as he neared them. "Elladan....so good to see you once more...and Anoron..." He turned to her and smiled kindly, a smile he had not had for a while. "Tithen aenil, I missed you, and certainly your brother. May I join you two?" Legolas asked.

Re: The Bond
Anoron's eyes stared at Legolas almost blankly; yet worry could be seen within. Her mouth stayed open only a little bit as she stared at the beautiful elf -- all feelings she'd been trying to push down, were resurfacing. At the mere sight of him.
Mae Govannen, Legolas! Elladan laughed. Yes, please join us, right Anoron?
He looked to her with a raised brow, as there was no smile on her face. Anoron?... He repeated, a small smile of worry on his face.
She snapped out of her trace and looked to him.
Of course. She said, smiling and shifting on the grass so Legolas could sit down.
Yet before they could even engage in conversation, an arrow whizzed by and stuck in the tree near Elladan. A note attached. Taking it down, he read the note which said:
I've got Nimhil....
His eyes widened. Arduar you smelly human! Give it back! He yelled, scrambling up and running after the sound of her brother's laughter.
Anoron wished that hadn't happened. Now it was just she and Legolas. She remembered what had happened the day she left. Anoron wore the necklace still, yet it was under her clothing; only showing a bit.

Legolas gazed at her and smiled warmly. "Are you all right? You do not seem yourself, since I last met you. I hope what hapeened when you left did not scar you. I do not hold grudges against friends. Especially my best friends..." He took Anoron's hand in his owns. "What you said, was true, but not a big deal. I'm not upset, if you think that." He poked her in the side playfully, waiting to see the smile he loved.

Re: The Bond
Anoron gave a small smile and blushed, giving the prince's hair a tousle. She knew he hated tangles. Perfect elves. They spoke for an hour or two, enjoying the company both had sorely missed while upset and away from the other.
She began to fall for Legolas more and more as they spoke; realizing her feelings were not just that of lust. But love. A growing love, that had to be quenched.
Yet thankfully, Araduar came back to call them for supper. He had a triumphent smirk on his face. Whatever "Nimhil" was -- he still had it, and Elladan was not pleased. He told Anoron later, that it was a small wooden horse Elladan kept at his bedside; having it since he was five. He couldn't really sleep without it there.
The meal was eaten with the family of Elrond; his two sons, the two humans, and the elf from Mirkwood. It was joyous and laughable conversation; though Anoron was not interested. She smiled and laughed on occasion, but most of the time, her eyes rested on Legolas. Araduar had to keep nudging her to keep from staring.
Yet the twins noticed....they noticed, and exchanged glances.
As night came and all were seen to their chambers, a thunderous storm again rose up. Anoron was almost hiding under her covers. Damn these elves and their open halls and large windows. She hated this -- yet made a promise to live it through this time, without anyone's aid. Though....she began to like the idea of getting into a bed with Legolas.....she stopped herself. Anoron had to get past him.

Re: The Bond
Legolas couldn't stop thinking about Anoron. She was his best friend...but he felt something more. He felt her more than a friend. What was it? Was it love? But didn't he love Athair? His heart screamed no, but his mind pounded him with answers of yes.The tunder rumbled and shook the windows occassionally, the memory of the night before made him chuckle at the fond memory. He missed it. She was so warm and inviting, yet innocent.
But he sighed. What could she possibly see in him? Nothing but a friend must likely, after all, he was doing something wrong with his relationship with Athair. What WAS he doing wrong? Sighing once more, Legolas took off his tunic and pulled his thing leggings, that were worn to bed, unless he had his sleeping tunic and got into the large bed.
Legolas put his hands behind his head and stared at the celine, all the while lightening cracked and thunder roared.

Re: The Bond
Anoron slipped out of bed. Her blanket was wrapped around her tightly as she made her way down the quiet halls. She didn't know where anyone's room was. She hoped that instinct would lead her. Perhaps she could seek refuge with Elladan tonight. Going to what she thought was his room, she opened the door and slipped in.
I was wond-- But she stopped. There was Legolas, looking to her with a smile. He had no shirt on; exposing his muscled slender torso. His skin was unblemished. He still had leggings on, or so she could tell....but the sight was almost too much. I'm sorry. I thought this was Elladan's room. She said nervously, backing to the door, but not quite managing to get it open.

Legolas smiled And sat up. "Running from the storm again? I don't know where Elladan's room is, but you are welcomed to stay here, like last time." His smile was kindly, hiding the chuckles that wanted to come. Scooting over to the side he patted a spot beside him in the large bed. "I won't tease you...I promise." He chuckled.
"Unless you wan to go to Elladan, which he might be on the other side of the halls. Just like old times, tithen aenil."

Re: The Bond
Anoron blushed and slowly walked over. A crack of thunder caused her to jump -- and Legolas gave another small laugh. Her eyes turned down, and she took a step back. No thank you.... She said quitely, blushing. His laughing at her only made Anoron feel small and childish; like he rolled his eyes knowingly when she wasn't looking. She couldn't help what she was afriad of, but he obviously found it a laughing matter.
Another crack of thunder made her jump again, prompting her to leave his room quicker.
