"So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."
Deep sapphire eyes that glittered like jewels gazed down into the dark eyes of Cosette. A tender smiled the elf smiled at her as they walked hand in hand. "I will remain here until I am dragged or forced out of Imladris. I would not with to leave you, for I love you and want to spend as much time as I can with you. Dearest Cosette, you are more important to me than anything else in all of Arda." And to seal hs words, Legolas lifted her hand to his lips and placed an affectionate kiss upon the skin of the back of her hand.
The two lovers entered the dinning Halls of Lord Elrond. The prince of Mirkwood pulled out a chair for Cosette and helped her seat herself. Once she was sitting in the dark polished wooden, he pushed her closer to the table, before taking his own seat beside her. Instantly their hands saught one another's and twined fingers together like ivy growing upon a strong and sturdy pole.
'Let a ploughman plough, but choose an otter for swimming, and for running light over grass and leaf, or over snow...an Elf.'
Re: .:A change of Heart:.
Cosette smiled and relaxed as they were seated. Elrond, and his twin sons arrived soon after and the meal began. The conversation was light and pleasureable.....but Cosette made sure to refrain from drinking any wine -- despite the pleas of Elladan: "It is of the finest wine!" -- "Sweet and suculant, you will enjoy it"
She would simply shake her head quietly and deny. So, back to work tomorrow then, Cosette? Elladan asked.
Yes m'lord... She said with a smile.
Good. He said with a sly smirk. I have a few things I'd like you to tend to.
Re: .:A change of Heart:.
The prince's eyes darkened slightly at Elladan's words. Legolas was not blind. He could see the lust that was held within Elladan's eyes. Lust for the one he loved--Cosette. Wrapping long fingers around the neck of the goblet, he brought the goblet to his slightly parted lips, and drank some of thesparkling water that was presented. Since Cosette could not have the wine, for both feared what Elladan might have done t it, he would have water as well as her. Piercing and cold eyes were focused upon Elladan, watching his every move like a falcon watches its prey.
