Hi all...I'm a bit too late with this but also tried it out on a NOS t-jet chassis. I cut out of the bottom of a junked xlerator the copper brush holding tabs which are round with about 1/8 inch of the tab and slipped it on top of the brush tabs of the t-jet. The pieces slipped right in with a little help and hold tight with the original tabs holding them strongly in place. Put a set of narrow silicones on the back of it and WALLAH...outdrags my modified in the straights. In fact in 16 feet of straight it pry pulled at least a foot on my modified in any lane combination. I ran my magnatraction modified [without polymers] last night at the races and pulled 6 laps more than normal putting me in 1st with guys that have been racing since the t-jets were new! I won with my modified t-jet by one lap but next week will try out the NOS to see how it does. I agree though...I am holding off on telling them for a couple weeks til I get it down some more.

Re: "brushless" Magnatraction cars
Guys, I can't take credit for this tip. It was passed to me by a good friend. I hesitated to tell anyone until I saw it on the DL a couple of years ago and on some other boards.
Re: "brushless" Magnatraction cars
I was just checking out the web page for the massive, and scaled, tracks at slotcarthunder.com, out of Kansas City, and noticed they have an AF/X class of racing.
One of the class rules is that carbon-based brushes are required.
Re: "brushless" Magnatraction cars
This "brushless" tip is still working well for me, and no meltdowns yet! I don't actually race these in a real race, though, just putter around with the guys at our tracks.
