Ive been in & out of boats for over 20 years and have fallen in love with a 1989 10 meter midcabin express. im almost ready to buy it. Glad to hear you lov itmaybe you can answer a few questions just to reassure me
this boat has tein 454 350 hp crusaders
ive got a couple of questions
1)what are the realistic cruising and top speeds
2) fuel consumption
3)any known major defects ( tiara had fuel tank problems )
4) is it a wet or dry boat in moderate seas
it would be great if iyou or any international owners could help me out thanks

If the price is right go for it. The Trojan Internationals are in a class of their own with the Delta-Conic Hull being an excellant sea handling design. The fit and finnish was way ahead of its time with other boats in its class. Any more questions let me know.

the delta conic hull is extraordinarily seaworthy with a smooth DRY ride... at anchor when deep vees are rocking madly the 10 meter is serene... she stays on plane down to relatively low rpms (depending on load and knowlegeable use of trim tabs) ... she tracks straight and true...
some hulls between 1987-89 experienced moderate to severe blistering problems...

For what its worth i have had a 9 meter express since it was new in 84. I have repowered it with cummins diesels and i think it is one of the best boats ever built.Its rigrd out for sport fishing.marlin tower outriggers and iam in the charter business,it takes a lot of abuse from customers and constant use but it just keeps on going no major problems no blisters and no structural failures and it has well over 5000 hours on it.
