Could you please tell me if you are going to the house that they filmed 'Rose Red' in? If so could you tell when and what you hope to find there? I will look for your answere on your site. You have done such a great job and I hope some day to be able to afford my own computer.
I got married there
Aug 17th 2003 I got married at Thornewood Castle. It is not haunted and there is no validation for the movies or the story. If was a fictional story co-written or written by S.King. The only scary thing there is the owner. (What a fukkin retard and beeootch) Good luck tryin to get any pictures or equipment there. It is a dime a dozen and they totally charge people who are stupid enough to think the story is real (BTW - the movie takes place in Seattle but, the castle is in Lakewood, WA) - LMAO Also, the place isn't as big as the what's in the movie.. two extra set were designed in a warehouse to make the house appear larger.

Congratulations on your new Marriage from the AGHOST family.
If a person goes to a place expecting to be scared by a ghost, they may find themselves going home empty handed. A ghost will not manifest if you want to. These are people who do what they want and when they want. They don't just hang around waiting. If you expected to see ghost with the naked eye, or hear it, again you'd be disappointed.
Ghosts rarely show themselves as full phantoms. Most are a mist called ecto or balls of lights know to ghost hunters as orbs. The only way to see a ghost id to try and capture it on film or on audio tape. Since ghosts speak at a higher frequency that humans don't have, we can't hear them. Animals, dogs and cat's can not only see a ghost, but can also hear one due to their heightened sense. A audio tape machine can play words or messages we believe are from ghosts only when the tape is played and listened to.
As far as getting equipment in, there was another society here in WA that was documented on the local news about a year ago conducting an investigation and using cameras and EMF. So it has been done before.
Many of us believe that Chester Thorne and others still call this their home. When we're ready to go, perhaps Chester will entertain us, as the owner of a grand manor would for his guests. Wish us luck. We may soon meet him.

I stayed at Thornewood Castle two years ago on Valentine's Day. We stayed in Anna's suite; rumored to have an apparition of a woman who appears when looking into a certain large, ornate mirror on the wall. That did not happen to me, however, there was a small kitchenette at the back of the suite that spooked me a little so I left the pocket door closed and the light on the whole time. At one point I saw a shadow move across the 1 inch opening at the bottom; like someone inside the kitchenette was walking by the door. Also, there was some debate as to whether we had left a candle burning by the fireplace or "something else" had lit it while we were outside. Otherwise, the castle is beautiful and worth the stay no matter what. Be sure to read the newspaper clippings located in the second story landing up the main staircase!
