slow network connection
Can an improper protocol cause a slower network connection? I have 5 pc's running xp through a router, good cat5 connections, all nic's set to full duplex but still when I access my network places it seems to search forever before landing on a desired folder on another pc. Any ideas?

The reasons for this problem can be many and varied.
