tech help please
I'm building a PC for a friend out of parts from my old computer.
the only thing new really is the hard drive.
HD - Western Digital EIDE 7200rpm 120 GB
CPU - AMD athlon 900 mhz
Mobo - ASUS A7A266
PS - 300W ATX
CD-rom - his old HP CD-writer plus
video - GeForce 4 MX 420
I have everything connected properly as far as I know.
my problem is, after it goes thru BIOS system check I get this:
"boot disk failure insert system disk and press enter"
I have Win XP disc in the cd-rom.
The hard drive is not formated as it is brand new, how do I format the hard drive without an existing OS?
Im pretty new at this so any help would be much appectiated.
