the good ole days in central texas
i live in central texas a small town called bremond the hunting can be great around here but like anywhere the hogs can move out of the area for a while. and there are so many people running them with dogs around here that they grow a little thin sometimes. but just when you think they are gone you go out and catch 6 in one night. i remember 10 years ago we would catch a 350 pounder everytime we went, and sometimes bigger than that. we would catch at least 4 a hunt. we still catch alot of hogs just nothing like it use to be. we are still catching more than alot of folks so i cant complain to much. i am still having fun i guess its just fun to remember the good ole days i guess.

I was born in Dallas and graduated High School in Mt. Pleasant..There were not many hogs out my way when I was growing up. We heard of some getting shot every once in a while..Wish We had them back then...about 25+ years ago...

I have a bud who traps in Pittsburg, TX now and he sends me pictures every once in a while...

Nope, don't know them...My doctor was in Sulphur Springs...I lived in Monticello and fished Bob Sandlin, Cypres Springs too...Really miss Texas fishing..these guys here in Tennessee DO NOT know what fishing is.. I try to get them to go back to Texas some time and fall in Love with real fishing..LOL

I graduated High School in Mt. Pleasant in 1980.. My Dad worked for the Power plant there..back then it was TUGCO.. I don't know what it is called now...

I still have family in Emory and we used to keep cattle in Ennis...

I still have some family in Mesquite too.

Back when the town east shopping center was horse pasture, that is where we used to ride horses all the time when I was a kid back in the late 60's and early 70's...boy, things sure do change...LOL

east texas bass fishing is great.we fished fork the day it opened. you used to be able to catch 100 bass a day.i went to school in lancaster.most of my family lives in rowlette, clarksville,mt plesant, commerce, and arlington.we used the boat marine place in emeory at times.they were involved in that insurance scam on boats several years ago.town east is about the same as always.i remember when all those areas were just fileds.i graduated from lancaster in 1968.my family ran a grocery store and paint and body shop in clarksville. they now just have the pawn shop there.my dad used to be chief of police in balch springs.

Yup, I lived in College Station when I worked for the GRDA building the Coal drag lines for the coal company in Anderson...

I live in Middle Tennessee and the only thing that comes close to where I am now in beauty is that area between Houston and Dallas... Loved the deer hunting in the SFA forrest outside of College Station.
