I have a 59 Morris Minor that needs a transplant. I was told I could use a Toyota fwd engine with a rwd 5 speed. Any truth to this?

I'd like to build something that is fun to drive, and very reliable, but not necessarily the fastest thing on the block. ( I plan to convert to carburated) Anyone want to make a suggestion for an engine/trans combo?

I have connections at a local salvage yard, although their supply of Toyota is limited. They have several 3S-FE engines, among others. Will this work?
