The front and rear edges do not go under the glass... they are stapled where the moulding clips are. The clips are screwed on (in 6 with phillips head screws, and you probably need to remove the glass to do the job properly.
The drip rail mouldings will come off with a bottle opener wrapped with tape so you don't bend them. Pry up gently and they will sort of twist off. They basically just snap back on.
I don't believe the factory paints the roof body color.. they just prime it.
