who's installed a vinyl top???
i want to change from my dark green top to a white one. i know the sides are clamped down by the drip rail molding but where do the edges at the front and rear windshield go??? hopefully they are not under the glass????

is the drip rail molding re-usable???? did the factory paint the roof before they put on the vinyl???

thanks again,
matt

The front and rear edges do not go under the glass... they are stapled where the moulding clips are. The clips are screwed on (in 68) with phillips head screws, and you probably need to remove the glass to do the job properly.
The drip rail mouldings will come off with a bottle opener wrapped with tape so you don't bend them. Pry up gently and they will sort of twist off. They basically just snap back on.
I don't believe the factory paints the roof body color.. they just prime it.
